We have two Newport hotels for guests to choose from, so we can put you up within easy access of the M4, the city centre and Celtic Spring Business Park. So whether it's a business visit or simply for fun, make us your choice.
Newport is within half hour's drive of Cardiff. However, this city is more than just a base close to the Welsh capital. It holds its own in terms of entertainment and culture.
For starters, Newport is home to the Newport City Museum and Gallery, as well as the impressive National Roman Legion Museum. You can explore the remains of the Caerleon Roman Fortress, a real insight into our Roman Heritage.
If you've got time to hit the shops after exploring the museums and fortress, then the city centre Kingsway Shopping Centre is within easy reach of both of our Newport hotels. There are more than 30 shops in the centre, largely made up well known High Street Brands.
We can't possibly talk about Newport without mentioning the Celtic Manor Golf Course – a must visit for any golf fans in the city.
For those driving to Newport, the M4 runs right past the city. There are also excellent rail links. You can get direct train services to London, Manchester Cardiff and other cities. It takes just over two hours to reach London and just over 3 hours to reach Manchester by rail.
So whether it's business, pleasure or even just a quick night's stopover, if you're heading for Newport come and stay at one of our Newport hotels
We stayed at St David’s as a well deserved treat after the last two years. We had a lovely time but what made it special was the staff. Before I retired I was in the travel and tourism industry and[More] know what to look for to ensure a good experience. I can honestly say all the staff went the extra step to ensure it was. The food, the room, the balcony overlooking the Bay,the bar, the lovely Spa was a complete package which we enjoyed from the moment we were greeted coming through the door. Well done staff, you were definitely awake during the customer care courses. Thank you and we will be back.[Less]
Short stay at a great hotel
By Wzhjp8
We stayed for 3 nights, it was a lovely place to stay. Our ‘small suite’ was very good (and quite large!) and had a good balcony which had a lovely view across the bay. We used and enjoyed both the[More] bar and the spa & pool.[Less]

Great but..
By Chestfreezer1
Everything was up to the usual good Holiday Inn standards except the breakfast. The facilities were not sufficient for the number of guests. The service area is too small and the hard pressed staff[More] were too few.[Less]

The staff were very polite, friendly and professional during our stay due to a house move. They made the experience very stress free and were more than happy to assist with our enquiries. I was[More] particularly impressed with the COVID-19 safety measures and the breakfast assisted buffet service. I would recommend this hotel.[Less]
