Featured Newport Hotels

We have two Newport hotels for guests to choose from, so we can put you up within easy access of the M4, the city centre and Celtic Spring Business Park. So whether it's a business visit or simply for fun, make us your choice.

Newport is within half hour's drive of Cardiff. However, this city is more than just a base close to the Welsh capital. It holds its own in terms of entertainment and culture.

For starters, Newport is home to the Newport City Museum and Gallery, as well as the impressive National Roman Legion Museum. You can explore the remains of the Caerleon Roman Fortress, a real insight into our Roman Heritage.

If you've got time to hit the shops after exploring the museums and fortress, then the city centre Kingsway Shopping Centre is within easy reach of both of our Newport hotels. There are more than 30 shops in the centre, largely made up well known High Street Brands.

We can't possibly talk about Newport without mentioning the Celtic Manor Golf Course – a must visit for any golf fans in the city.

For those driving to Newport, the M4 runs right past the city. There are also excellent rail links. You can get direct train services to London, Manchester Cardiff and other cities. It takes just over two hours to reach London and just over 3 hours to reach Manchester by rail.

So whether it's business, pleasure or even just a quick night's stopover, if you're heading for Newport come and stay at one of our Newport hotels

Bristo Holiday Inn Express

clean and friendly, within short walking distance of train station. Would stay here again. [Less]
Great choice
Very professional, efficient and friendly staff. Siobhan was super! Daria and Luca too. I would definitely stay there again. [Less]
Good location, friendly helpful staff.
By Bloggins
We arrived early and were invited to have tea/coffee from the breakfast service before we set off on our day. The staff kindly marked out best routes for our sightseeing itinerary on a local map. [More] The hotel was well kept and the room was clean and tidy. My only comment is that it is based in a very busy area and road noise is constant. However the most noise came from the corridor when other guests arrived back late and 'happy'. [Less]
Great hotel but no traditional breakfast
By Stan216
I found it bizarre that the hotel does not serve a traditional English breakfast; there was no bacon and only had what I suspected were beef sausages. The hotel and staff however are fantastic - [More] very friendly and welcoming. [Less]
comfortable bed and great service

I was impressed by the quality of the hotel at a budget rate [Less]
restaurant opened just for us

We needed to be at a concert at St David's hall, Cardiff early in the evening, so the restaurant opened at 5.30 instead of 6 pm. Fabulous, thank you [Less]

Holiday Inn Express Cardiff Bay
By Hellibutt66
The welcome from the staff was great. They were very helpful. My room was ok. Clean and tidy, Plenty of Tea and coffee and a television that worked well. Internet access was fine. Bed was a little [More] bouncy - no hypnos mattresses here. Breakfast was a little meagre. On the Saturday morning no bacon available. If i'm honest I was disappointed with the breakfast and didn't even bother on the sunday morning. What this hotel has going for it is that its easy to get to by car, the proximity to Cardiff Bay and all its restaurants and bars is excellent and the Staff. I give the staff 10 out of 10. I would be happy to stay again but hope that the breakfast situation could be improved a little. [Less]
Pleasant Surroundings and nice people
By TonyF1
We enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Rooms clean and pleasant. Great view over water. Coffee was surprisingly nice from the machine. Staff make this place as go out of [More] their way to assist. Only thing not so keen on was breakfast food choice a bit limited. Also lack of a full restaurant meant we had to go out or get take aways delivered but having said that the staff made that very easy to arrange. [Less]
