Featured Milan Hotels

Italy is a country full of ancient wonders and modern appeal. It has Rome with its famous Coliseum and the Vatican, it has miles of enchanting countryside, and it has Milan.

Milan is known for its bi-annual Fashion Week when all the hottest new designs make their way into the public eye, but the city has so much more to offer. About 1.3 million people call this city home, and they benefit from the mild Mediterranean climate that brings humid summers and bearable winters. Really, any time is a good time to visit Milan. However, if you are looking for fewer crowds and cheaper prices on hotels in Milan, visit between November and March. Summers are crowded, so if you want to go when the weather is warmer, choose spring.

Famous people, such as Leonardo da Vinci, Pietro Verri, Giuseppe Verdi, and Carlo Emilio Gadda, spent time in Milan, and you can walk in their footsteps as you stroll the city streets. Take in the beautiful architecture, visit the immaculate museums, see the thriving industries, and bring your camera — you'll never want to forget the time you spend in Milan!

Ready to see this lovely city for yourself? Use this brief guide to start planning your visit.

In time thousands of years and give you an enriched perspective on Jesus and his apostles. This is a wildly popular spot for tourists, so be sure to book your admission ahead of time.

The art in Milan never ends. Head to the Milan Cathedral, known in Italian as the Duomo di Milano, one of the largest churches in the world. Even if you're not a Catholic, the enormous building — which took roughly six centuries to build — will fill you with awe. Head to the rooftop for a sweeping view of the city.

Like shopping? Of course, you'll find tons of shops and beautiful boutiques in Milan, but you'll also find one of the world's oldest shopping malls, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Admire the architecture as you browse through the stores.

Despite being relatively small compared to cities like London and New York, Milan is hectic. The pace of life here might leave you feeling a little overwhelmed. For a respite, head to the Brera district, where you'll find a peaceful atmosphere that is reminiscent of a quaint village. Brera offers charming shops, art galleries, and of course, great places to eat.

Don't miss out on the chance to see the Monumental Cemetery, where breathtaking sculptures guard those who rest there. The cemetery also has Greek temples and a small version of Trajan's Column. Pay your respects to the famous novelist Alessandro Manzoni, who penned the book The Betrothed.

In the mood for something a little more modern? Stop by Gae Aulenti Square, where the ultra-modern architecture will make you feel like you are in a different world. The square also offers one of the best views of Milan's skyline.

Certainly, one of the best

Malpensa Italy airport
By Mom of 3
We were so happy to find a nice, clean, reasonably priced place to stay near the airport. Our family of 5 had adjoining rooms, which made the early trip to the airport easier. We were even able to [More] grab a quick bite from the continental breakfast before hopping on the shuttle. We would definitely stay here again if we ever got to to return! [Less]
Wonderful Experience
By Crisco
After a long drive from Monterrica Terre, being able to relax and get a night's rest was important before heading back to the US for an 8-hour flight. Our room was clean, quiet and the bed was [More] comfortable. Also appreciated was the free breakfast with many options that were all good. Having shuttle service to the airport for a minimal fee ($4 euro) was also appreciated. All staff we encountered were pleasant. [Less]
very short overnight visit
By rlunder
We arrived in the evening very tired, checked in, took our luggage to the room and went to dinner. Since the hotel did not have a restaurant, we had to walk several blocks to a very nice restaurant [More] which the hotel staff gave us excellent directions to get there. Returned after dinner and did our final packing for our early morning flight out in the morning. Left a wake-up call for 4:00am and received the call on time. checked out just before 6:00am and took the shuttle bus to the airport for flight. Staff was friendly and helpful, Room was clean, bed was comfortable except European king-size beds use a split mattress with large crack down the middle? Why are European Holiday Inn Express hotels so much nicer than they are in the USA. [Less]
Good Holiday Inn option

Excellent Hotel, but far away from the city
By Yaqoub18
The hotel very well meets the holiday inn standards. It's very clean, has a free basement parking and the breakfast is OK. It seems to be a common venue for meetings and conferences. If you have a [More] car and planning to visit the areas to the north of Italy like Lecco and Como, it's a reasonably priced hotel. However, it's far from the city. You will need to take a taxi that will cost you 10 Euros to go the train station. From there, you will take a 20-30 minute train to the city centre and will do the same on the way back. The hotel area seemed isolated to me and didn't look friendly especially at night. I took advantage from having a rental car and drove to Lecco which is a very beautiful area. In summary, the hotel itself is nice but not recommended for a Milan visitor. [Less]

Good Value for Money and Ideal for Short Stays
By AntonioP
We stayed for one night attending a concert in the nearby Milan Assago Forum. It is a short drive to the Forum itself and also to a large shopping centre Milanofiori and the conference centre. The [More] location is right on the highway on the site of a service station hence that is a bit particular. But Hotel as such has good facilities and is right on the highway ideal for south or north bound travels around the greater Milan area. [Less]

Since this hotel is away from the city convenience is a big issue, either not available and if you ask for taxi services they are very very expensive. No point staying is a budget hotel and then [More] paying good amount for conveyance. [Less]
