Featured Lafayette Hotels

Let the good times roll when you book a stay in our Holiday Inn® Lafayette hotels in the heart of Louisiana's Cajun country. The sunny strains of fiddle and accordion ripple through the twilight marshlands all year long.

Step out from our hotels in Lafayette to discover the rich culture of Cajun country. Visit Vermilionville, a folklife and heritage park and a living-history museum of 18th and 19th-century life in French Acadiana. You can join in the park's jumping Cajun jam every Saturday. Take the kids on a swamp tour into the murky but eerily compelling bayou. Led by Cajun naturalists, these tours into dense cypress swamps reveal mink, otter, egrets and herons, and gators lurking on the surface of the bayou waters. Just outside Lafayette the stately white columns of old plantation homes, like Chretian Point or Shadows-on-the-Teche, cast shadows on grounds planted with live oak and fragrant magnolia.

In Cajun country, food is an essential part of the culture. The spicy culinary stew that is Creole food has its roots in the region's multicultural heritage, but Lafayette is the heart of French Acadiana, where Cajun cooking is king. After a good night's sleep in one of our hotels in Lafayette, start your day with a zydeco breakfast of oreille du cochons (fried dough shaped like pigs' ears), dig into a rich gumbo for lunch, and end the day "pinching tails" at a crawfish boil, where the sweet meat of the mudbugs is washed down with Abita beer. Don't miss the weeklong Festival Acadiens et Creole, a free music and food festival in October.

Bring your dancing shoes and a hearty appetite when you book a stay at our Holiday Inn Lafayette hotels. Join in the celebration of good food, good music, and Cajun-style good times.

Great hotel, but no laundry facilities
By Gammy2Eight
This is a beautiful hotel and is located in an area which is central to shopping, restaurants and ballparks. The property is well-maintained and very appealing. The rooms are clean and comfortable [More] and the staff is extremely hospitable. It would be perfect if laundry facilities would be available for sports teams whose uniforms need to be washed and dried. I would make this a regular on my hotel list for Lafayette tournaments, but it is not good for when the coaches want the kids to wear the same uniform on two different days, which often happens with 3-day tournaments. I would highly recommend this property if the guests are not with a sports team. NOTE: My low ratings for sleep and relaxation were because I stayed up all night hand washing 5 uniforms and drying them with my hair dryer. But the girls slept GREAT! :) [Less]

Unassuming from the outside, wonderful inside. Great Stay!
By planetraveler787
I have stayed at a handful of hotels in the Lafayette area. I typically stay at a different hotel brand. Due to business travel restrictions and the recent flooding, the hotel options have been [More] limited and I booked with Staybridge. I drove to the property hoping the hotel would be decent but was prepared for it to be less. I was very pleasantly surprised in many ways. The staff was wonderful. The overall condition of the property was very good.... little evidence of wear. The suite was huge. I like the separation of sleeping space from living space. There were separate thermostats for both sides. The dining area was fastidiously maintained. The breakfast options were the best I have seen anywhere with fresh fruit, eggs that actually were edible, etc. The evening Happy Hour was a lot of fun with actual food and not just chips [Less]

This is our first stay at this property but will return when we visit Lafayette again. The staff and hotel were outstanding. The room was extremely comfortable and clean. The restaurant staff was [More] some of the best ever. We were a little disappointed that there was a complimentary breakfast offering for Priority Club members. However, that does not lessen the fact that we truly enjoyed our stay there. [Less]
