We got a beach side view and the friendly staff gave us a Platinum suite upgrade so even had a balcony with chairs, one of the best hotel views ever. Clean, large room with excellent sleep quality.
This is more of a winter walking beach, foggy mornings but when fog blows away the wind comes up - it seems always windy and even when it hit 80 degrees it feels cool in that wind!
This is a converted-to-HIExpress hotel but remodeled rooms are definite step up, other than slightly wonky shower controls but always plenty of hot water.
Breakfasts are typical HIExpress fare. Pool area not the best, hopefully they'll improve and clean it more. There is not much to do but 1 mile away are some good restaurants and 15 mi south is Nat'l seashore park worth the drive on a nice day. Be careful to not confuse this with the Holiday Inn across the road as addresses almost the same (we added an extra night accidently to wrong hotel, but got it changed quick no problem).
Stay here for quiet R&R and beach walks. [Less]
