Featured Beijing Hotels

Enjoy all that this vivid, vibrant and vivacious destination has to offer when you stay in one of IHG's 22 Beijing hotels. Also known as the Northern Capital, the city creates a sensory overload with its fast moving eight-lane freeways, towering high-rises and sprawling apartment complexes, all underpinned by a dynamic imperial heritage. There is an order and symmetry amidst the mass of modernity, most effectively symbolised by Tian'anmen Square and its surrounding buildings. Beijing is not all expanses of concrete, steel and glass, however. The city is also home to opulent temples and relics from a bygone age. The best example of the ancient architecture is sure to be found in the moated Forbidden City. Once home to two dynasties, the city earned its name for being off limits for 500 years and is now a fascinating way to spend a day amongst the halls, exhibits and palaces.

There's an international diversity to be found on the streets of Beijing, with contemporary western fashion, technology and music scenes permeating the culture. But those looking for a more traditional Chinese experience will also find plenty of tea houses and venues serving delectable imperial cuisine across the city. Keep your eyes peeled for groups of older local people, who gather in the evenings to perform the loyalty dance known as yangkou. Amongst the city's alleyways or hutongs, haggle in antique markets and observe the locals relaxing with their pipes and pet birds.

If you find yourself in need of time away from the crowds, you'll find plenty of opportunity for relaxation in the parks, winding alleyways and exquisite heritage sites just outside the city. The Observatory, the Yonghe Gong, and the spectacular Temple of Heaven all offer a worthy retreat. To the north of the city you can easily take in the breathtaking spectacle that is the Great Wall of China.

Celebrate this colorful and contrasting slice of China by choosing one of IHG's hotels in Beijing. If you are looking for affordable, quality accommodation in the best locations, there's no better choice than IHG.

Good hotel in Beijing
By Netman266
A nice hotel in Beijing ZhongGuanChun area, with easy access to subway, shopping malls, and restaurants. It's within walking distance to some major Hi-Tech companies in the area. Rooms are clean, and [More] staff are friendly. It's a good choice for the business travelers. [Less]

Hotel ok, Location just soso
By Ralthammer
The Hotel is fairly new and the staff is really good. They speak proper english at the front desk. The location isnt that good. The Name is misleading. There is still about 10km distance to the [More] airport. So its not an airport hotel. There is a free shuttle, but the frequency is very low. First one at seven, next at nine. At least once per hour should be possible. [Less]

Great hotel semi-near PEK with a nice breakfast and dinner
By AndrewSFO
I stayed here as I was on layover for 20 hours in PEK going from America to Southeast Asia. I have stayed here before and have always thought it's a nice property. It's about a 10 minute taxi from [More] the airport. The staff's english isn't perfect but they can communicate. They're very accommodating to requests. The restaurant is really good. Their prices are very reasonable and have some yummy Chinese dishes. Whenever I stay there I try something different, and have never been disappointed. Great selection of food. Breakfast is included and is much better than most other Express properties. They have a huge selection, much more than most hotels. The hotel has laundry self service facility is nice because then I can sit in the restaurant and have a beer and do my laundry at the same time. Very nice to be able to do it right in the hotel. Sleep quality
By Bowen
Room 703 was directly underneath the Club Lounge and there is a section of the loung the floor is not carpet (food section and kitchen area). When the lounge is open, I could hear the noise of [More] walking steps. As a matter of fact, the noise woke me up in the morning. [Less]
Great location
By DownunderFlyer
It wasn't my first stay at this property for a reason, and that's location. It's as close to the forbidden city as one can get and is perfect for family tourism stay. For transport, there are 2 [More] subway stations one can choose within 10mins walk. All very easy to get to other parts of the city. Despite the age of the hotel, the open design of the hotel inner is alway pleasant after hours in an enclosed plane. The room facilities are standard for the brand and there's not much more one can ask at this price. The only desire is an improved wifi internet network. it gets congested during peak hours (early morning/evening) and throughput should be improved in the year 2016. [Less]
