Featured Beijing Hotels

Enjoy all that this vivid, vibrant and vivacious destination has to offer when you stay in one of IHG's 22 Beijing hotels. Also known as the Northern Capital, the city creates a sensory overload with its fast moving eight-lane freeways, towering high-rises and sprawling apartment complexes, all underpinned by a dynamic imperial heritage. There is an order and symmetry amidst the mass of modernity, most effectively symbolised by Tian'anmen Square and its surrounding buildings. Beijing is not all expanses of concrete, steel and glass, however. The city is also home to opulent temples and relics from a bygone age. The best example of the ancient architecture is sure to be found in the moated Forbidden City. Once home to two dynasties, the city earned its name for being off limits for 500 years and is now a fascinating way to spend a day amongst the halls, exhibits and palaces.

There's an international diversity to be found on the streets of Beijing, with contemporary western fashion, technology and music scenes permeating the culture. But those looking for a more traditional Chinese experience will also find plenty of tea houses and venues serving delectable imperial cuisine across the city. Keep your eyes peeled for groups of older local people, who gather in the evenings to perform the loyalty dance known as yangkou. Amongst the city's alleyways or hutongs, haggle in antique markets and observe the locals relaxing with their pipes and pet birds.

If you find yourself in need of time away from the crowds, you'll find plenty of opportunity for relaxation in the parks, winding alleyways and exquisite heritage sites just outside the city. The Observatory, the Yonghe Gong, and the spectacular Temple of Heaven all offer a worthy retreat. To the north of the city you can easily take in the breathtaking spectacle that is the Great Wall of China.

Celebrate this colorful and contrasting slice of China by choosing one of IHG's hotels in Beijing. If you are looking for affordable, quality accommodation in the best locations, there's no better choice than IHG.

Plenty of food available. No much traffic to SOHO area [Less]
Nice staff

Great value compared to the price. Good location if you're visiting the Wangjing area. Cool staff who were quite helpful [Less]
Great relaxing, comfortable hotel
By Johnheg
I stayed for a week while in Beijing on business. The hotel's location is great since there is a mall right behind the hotel. That means in my free time I could wander around the shops. Also, when I [More] needed some medicines, there was a pharmacy in that mall, which was useful. If you get bored with eating in the hotel every night, there are lots of restaurants only a few metres away from the hotel, behind the mall, with both Chinese and international restaurants. I love the fact that there is a Starbucks in reception. [Less]
Nice and clean hotel
By Comanl
Clean and spacious room, good location and close to public transport. [Less]
Friendly Staff
By MeganL
Other than the great location of the hotel, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. As a Platinum Elite member, I was welcomed as a return guest with a free upgrade to the executive floor. [More] Horizon Zhang helped to reseve the right room for me before my arrival, and went out of his way to make me feel at home during my stay. I would definitely stay at the Holiday Inn Downtown Beijing again next time I visit China. [Less]
Great staff, service and location
By JimmyDee1
This is my second visit to this Hotel and the reason I keep coming back is the service and staff attitude. Excellent location, near local shops and subway system. [Less]
Very good but a bit short to excelent
By Jesper P
Don't tale me wrong, this is a very good hotel but there are some problems and they are not unique for this hotel. The rooms almost always smells of smoke, even if you get a non-smoking room. There [More] are potential to make the breakfast a bit better. Some times the food trays are empty or the food is cold. That it is cold is often due to the fact that the average chinese doesn't close the lid. Sad but true. The "gym" isn't really a gym. It's more of a room with two treadmills. The rooms are normally very nice and spotless clean, except from the smell of smoke. They have two choises of pillow, soft or hard but the bed is on the hard side of you are european and not used to speep on a plank. The bathroom is well lit and the shower is big enough for two. The hotel is very nice positioned close to railway and the Changdi hi tech district. [Less]
If you have a gym and a swimming pool would be better. [Less]
