As one of Europe’s biggest cities and the capital of France, Paris is very well connected, with 2 major airports and an underground train system linking everything together.

Think of Paris and you think of the Eiffel tower, but Paris is so much more than just the tower. The cathedrals of Notre Dame and Sacre Coeur in Montmartre are spectacular additions to the Parisian skyline and the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysées are amongst the world’s most recognisable locations.
There are many places in Paris dedicated to the arts, but none more so than the Louvre, one of the world’s largest museums. It’s here that you can pay the famous Mona Lisa a visit. The Musée d’Orsay, the Centre Georges Pompidou and the Picasso Museum to name but a few are all outstanding and are must-sees on any visit to Paris.
Shopping in Paris is one of the main draws for tourists. The French capital is arguably the world centre of “haute couture” and the Triangle d’Or area houses many big designers’ flagship stores such as Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, Gucci and many more. You may also want to lose yourself in the Parisian department stores on the Boulevard Haussmann. In the Galleries Lafayette, you can buy anything from Jewellery to gourmet food.

We loved this hotel for its location and great breakfast. As far as Paris hotel rooms go it was actually quite roomy. I had read bad reviews about the breakfast, but was pleasantly surprised to find[More]
how great it was! Staff was wonderful! Right off of the metro stop Saint-Placide, so very convenient! The rooms are quite nice, only complaint is that the shower enclosure is not fully enclosed and water ends up everywhere. My only complaint about the staff was housekeeping. They were adamant about cleaning our room and we did not want them to. We preferred to have no one enter our room and kept the DNS sign on the door. They ignored it on the final night and came in anyway, cleaned the room, and somehow mistook our souvenir wine glasses for hotel wine glasses and took them. The hotel staff was apologetic and said they would look for them and mail them to us, which if they do they can definitely have that final star, imo. I am not optimistic, though. Also.. weird viewing window from shower to main part of the bedroom... not sure what that is for! [Less]

Stayed here using IHG points. Doesn't look special from the outside but the room was modern and the beds very comfortable - including pillows which I am increasingly sensitive to!
were very pleasant and helpful.
A little walk from the Metro but only 10 min walk from Montmartre and a great place to stay to visit Paris [Less]
