Conferencing, sightseeing, and transportation are all a snap when you select one of our Belfast hotels, located right in the heart of the action.
Belfast - known as Béal Feirste in Irish - is a humming capital city in Northern Ireland. A very active port city, Belfast became renowned as a center for shipbuilding in the 19th century, including the HMS Titanic. Although it has seen its share of conflict, the city’s culture is uniquely Irish and full of entertainment. Its position near glittering and windswept beaches doesn’t hurt, either.
Belfast’s City Hall is a great first spot on your itinerary - its impressive Baroque styling’s truly put Belfast on the map. The Albert Clock has only recently been corrected not to lean at a charming angle, and Belfast’s skyline is dotted with castle turrets. Within a short distance lies Giant’s Causeway, the world-famous beach with its naturally blocked stones. Belfast also pays homage to one of its most famous exports at the Titanic Belfast, where every stage of the ship’s history comes to thrilling life. The glamorous Grand Opera House is also a wonderful place to catch a show.
Hunt down the perfect souvenir or gift at Victoria Square, where four floors of retail and dining heaven meet under an arching glass dome. Head to the very top for sparkling views of Belfast. For foodies, there’s no place better to whet your appetite than St. George’s Market, a 19th century farmers’ market that still sells the finest produce in the land. The Cathedral Quarter and City Center also offer big brand and funky independent shops.
Sports are big in Belfast, from hockey to Gaelic football and hurling. With its players not just kicking but carrying the ball and bouncing the ball on the field, newcomers to Gaelic football are in for a treat. Hurling is equally fascinating, with a 3,000 year history of play.
Get to know Northern Ireland’s spirit of fun, or craic, when you settle into one of our Belfast hotels. Our great values, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff members will leave you anxious for another visit.
