West Palm Beach is the county seat of Palm Beach County and one of the main cities in the southern part of Florida. The population as of 2016 is 108,896, which marks nearly an 8 percent increase since 2010. West Palm Beach is part of the Miami metropolitan area, which has more than 6 million residents. Its tropical climate keeps the temperatures high throughout the year, with averages above 64 degrees every month.
When visiting West Palm Beach, you can find activities and attractions for all ages. McCarthy's Wildlife Sanctuary is a top destination, where visitors ages 6 and older can get up-close views of more than 170 animals, including panthers, lemurs, tigers and lions.
