Great location
By Denbo14
We stayed here as we drove up from Calgary for a night out on Jasper Avenue planned and this is a great location. A very large hotel with very friendly staff from the moment we walked in who advised [More] on places to eat locally. The breakfast staff, who were trying to accommodate a large group of teenagers who ate like locusts, even came over and asked personally if we had enough to eat or there was enough variation, which we thought was a nice touch. The breakfast was even open until 12.00 which is a brilliant idea as we had stayed out late and still got a lie in with breakfast. My only moan would be paying $12 for parking, but apart from that we had a very pleasant stay as we had envisaged. Thank you to all the staff. [Less]

Sherwood HIE quick stay
By Cpt Skeptic
Super fast front desk check in. I like that after driving of flying for hours. Room was clean fresh and had a Jacuzzi tub in the main room, really don't remember booking that, but I guess I did. It [More] would be nice to see a maintenance date for the Jacuzzi tube, along the lines of 'this tub was flushed and cleaned by Jimmy Jones as well as dated' Comfy bed and internet that didn't drop my VPN or my skype. Bottled water in the rooms would be a nice touch. Would I be back? Yes. [Less]

A haven in a time of need
By small town lady
I had to make an impromptu trip to Edmonton as my husband was admitted to hospital. It was a holiday long weekend, plus the rodeo was in the city resulting in room shortages. I had stayed the [More] previous night in a less than stellar accommodation and early Sunday morning was looking elsewhere. I secured a room at Holiday Inn with the intent on registering early, leaving my car in parking lot and going to the hospital. When I arrived to register before noon I was told I could check in then if I wanted to. The room was comfortable, extremely clean and very welcoming. The room attendant who was nearby greeted me and helped me as I hauled my things into the room and made me feel welcome and cared for. It was a tremendous help in what was a very stressful few days.
