I had an amazing time staying at the Cardiff bay branch. The staff are very helpful and informative, even showing me on a map how to get to local attractions.
Fantastic placement, it was a ten
minute walk to the red dragon centre where we spent the evening dining out and bowling and twenty minute walk into Cardiff cirpty centre and shopping malls.
Some kind of building work going on along the bay walking area into the town, so unfortunately didn't get to experience that side, but the walk wasn't unpleasant the way we went. Lovely evening stroll down the bay side in the evening though.
Weather wasn't great when we were there, so would love to come back in the summer and experience the place with nice weather.
Paid for the car park, which feels a bit naughty really, but you are allowed to park up the day before and leave when your ready the day you check out.
Breakfast was amazing, much better than last years, as they have reintroduced bacon!! Lovely bacon too. Sausages cooked perfectly, scrambled egg was delicious, also had cereals, yoghurt, toast, fruit, muffins, croissants, beans, coffee, juices, everything you could imagine. But the staff on the breakfast duty could maybe smile a bit, never heard any of them even speak to anyone? (sorry, but my
only grumble about any staff there). Overall I loved the hotel, but I would never pay full price for a room, it's very expensive! But if one comes up again on offer I would snap it up lol
Oh and free wifi is a great idea, no one should be charged for wifi these days. [Less]
