Famous for its romantic ambiance, unparalleled architecture and chic
sensibilities, the City of Lights draws millions of international visitors
each year. Paris is also heralded the world over for its exquisite cuisine,
vibrant nightlife, and world-renowned institutions of art, such as The
Louvre. From the Eiffel Tower to stately museums to its centuries-old
Neoclassic architecture, Paris offers something for everyone. By carefully
planning your trip to Paris, you can help ensure you'll get to experience
all that makes Paris such a popular destination. From modern chic to
historically elegant, Paris hotels also offer accommodations to suit a
range of budgets and tastes. Paris's most iconic landmark, the Eiffel Tower. Built in 1889, the
wrought-iron structure is a marvel of human engineering and offers sweeping
views of Paris. The landmark is sure to be crowded with tourists, so it's
advisable to visit early in the day or late in the afternoon. To truly experience Parisian charm, take a walk through Paris's Montmartre
neighborhood. At first glance, it appears you've walked back in time. With
cobblestone streets, centuries-old buildings, and sidewalk buskers selling
their wares, you'll experience the Paris of old. Be sure to walk or take a
cable car up the summit of the neighborhood and tour the white-domed
Basilica of the Sacré Cœur. Iconic artist such as Pablo Picasso, Salvador
Dali and Vincent Van Gough have all called Montmartre home.
The room was clean and comfortable - standard chain hotel style but a bit more stylish with some artworks at least. My only gripe is that the air conditioner wasn't really coping that well... but I[More] just opened the windows for a while to let the night air blow in, then it seemed to keep the room cool for the rest of the night. There's not a great deal of touristy stuff around the area but there are some great local restaurants and bars, and a huge Carrefour about 15 mins walk away if you want to bring any food souvenirs back! The guy on reception whose name I unfortunately forgot was super friendly and recommended a great restaurant to me very close by. He also mentioned that you get a great view of the Eiffel Tower from the bridge nearby - I also saw the top of it from the balcony in my room :)[Less]

Convenient location next to subway, restaurant and self service laundry
By Hanks
This Holiday Inn Paris is in a very convenient location on the #9 subway line, just next to the Porte du Saint Cloud station. There are convenient stores, restaurants, McDonald’s and even a self[More] service laundry nearby. The receptionists at the hotel were friendly and very helpful. They provided free luggage storage service on our day of checkout. Breakfast costs 15 euro per adult at the hotel. We didn’t try as child prefers McDonald’s breakfast after so many days in Europe.
We did find a very clean laundry in the same street as the hotel. The self service laundry solved our last problem in our Europe trip.[Less]
Comfortable and great service
By NinaJk
It is not my first time staying in this hotel (or another Holiday Inn) and I keep coming back. The location is great for me (facing Gare de l'Est and easy access to public transportation). The rooms[More] are always really comfortable (love the bed and pillows), clean and quiet. Love the choice of food for breakfast as well! Overall, great service![Less]
Nice room

A nice and comfortable room. Had a Juliet balcony with a view of the railway station. Air conditioning was a bit overwhelmed by the hot days outside. Good breakfast choice. A reasonable location to[More] stay after traveling by train into Paris from London on Eurostar.[Less]

Beautiful building in the middle of Paris
By Jrd1954
I enjoyed my 5-night stay overall at this very centrally located hotel. One of the most outstanding features for me was the full breakfast each morning. The quick service and great variety of food[More] contributed greatly to my enjoyment. My room was of average size, and I think something should be done about the slamming doors which created a lot of noise for me. I believe that most of the air pumps on top of the doorways were not working properly (at least on 3rd floor where I stayed), and therefore, caused doors to slam shut. Also, many children were running up and down the very long passages which I found to be annoying. Other than the doors, I was satisfied overall with the comfort of the room. The air conditioning was very efficient and quiet. Also, the personnel at the reception were all very nice towards me and acted very professionally, especially one of the managers named Aida. She was very friendly and helpful ![Less]

Friendly staff, lively atmosphere, central to the metro
By SpainFamily
This is a surprise great find of a hotel for our family of five. We chose it based on the proximity to the metro, but were pleased to find so many local amenities, including great restaurants nearby[More] and a bakery- great to come back to the air conditioning after a long day out in the Paris heat. The square always felt safe although it seems to be an area where unstably housed individuals congregate for a nightly food truck. Some minor repairs of the room needed, but this didn't affect function. Staff were super helpful and friendly.[Less]
