Excellent with 2 minor quibbles
By TeePee1979
Great room, great location, great service 2 issues - it's november in Hong Kong - the climate control needs to account for that. I practically froze. - while the design of the room is [More] contemporary and efficient - there were no power sockets on the side of the bed, which made charging your phone overnight difficult. Absolutely top class

The Hotel Indigo does not have an elaborate entrance, but once inside the service is exemplary and the rooms spacious, comfortable and modern. The restaurant is excellent as well. And if you are [More] brave you can swim out over the road 10 floors below in the glass bottomed pool - great fun [Less]
Feels like home :)

This hotel has always been the ideal choice whenever I travel to Hong Kong for work as it is centrally located with many nice restaurants and cafe around. It is really convenient to the MTR and most [More] importantly it is comfortable to rest in. [Less]

I have always stayed at Intercontinental Hong Kong when I visit Hong Kong. [Less]
Start of an Asian adventure
By RandKG
We stayed at the hotel as the start to our Asian cruise out of Hong Kong to Singapore. Taxi from the airport at 4p.m. took just over 2 hours. There is no doubt that this hotel is beautifully located [More] for views. They are stunning, particularly at night. Unfortunately I had misread the write up and thought that as Spire Elite we had access to the lounge. Not so, access was chargeable. Breakfasts - whilst the buffet selection was nice, a bit pushed to justify approx £35 per head per day. But then it is in line with the balance of menu charges in the hotel. Don't get me wrong I am used to paying but to be frank the prices were a little on the steep side - even for the Intercon.. The service was superb in all open areas, but then at over £100 for 2 drinks (one non alcoholic) and two bowls of soup and some tiny chicken satay sticks in the lobby area (plus a surcharge of 10% per day over the room rate for service -another £45) to be frank it needed to be. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to an executive room which was very spacious. Initially we thought that the guidance given by the concierge on local tours was excellent until we visited some of the places he mentioned. Stanley market was basically full of cheap stalls selling tat and not worth the trip. (Apparently it used to be great.) Aberdeen harbour and fishing village consisted of a trip around a port looking at a few nice boats (gin palaces which are the same in all nice harbours) and the fishing village was more of a trip around old metal trawler type vessels in various states of disarray and a view of an old ice factory. To be frank a trip around Grimsby docks would have probably cut it more, and it didn't need to last 1 hour! It would have been nice if the concierge had been more candid and honest about the places.....we could have saved a day. We ate out across the road at "The Mask" -had a wonderful meal. The Sitting Buddha, cable ride and temple not to be missed. - Probably the highlight and were not told about.. Do the peak at night for spectacular sight. In short lovely hotel, but expect to be charged in line with what the top 1- 5% of the populus in Hong Kong can afford to pay. Makes London look very cheap. [Less]

Comfortable pillow and excellent bathroom

The hotel is right beside a metro station. The room is super big. They also provide coke and beer for free. [Less]
Outstanding Service and Great Location
By sam49er
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hong Kong Kowloon East location. Large Rooms, good ambiance, rooftop lounge/bar, great location next to MTR transportation, adjacent to a Large mall. This stay [More] allowed me to travel on the MTR and learn the easy transfer system to get to the Global Sources and the Wan Chai Convention centers. The quality of the Staff can make or break your travel experience and this hotel had outstanding staff. [Less]
Convenient location
I stayed in superior room for one night. The room is spacious and modern. The hotel is located conveniently nearby a big shopping mall and MTR station. I would recommend it for business travelers. [More] However, some parts of the room (e.g. bathroom) have been aged and require immediate renovation. I also feel disappointed for the unreasonable charges for Wifi service and the local call.
