With speedy access to the flourishing city center, airport, and Parkway
Business Park, our Bristol hotels will help you make the most of your stay. Due to its location on the River Avon and the Severn Estuary in
southwestern England, Bristol’s fortunes have long risen and fallen with
the sea. Like so many prominent British settlements, Bristol can trace its
habitation back to before the Iron Age. One of the three most prosperous
cities of the kingdom during the medieval era, Bristol had its own mint and
was pressing coins by 1020. Although it suffered significant damage during
the Luftwaffe raids of WWII, Bristol’s indomitable spirit persevered to
rebuild and maintain itself as a captivating destination for residents and
visitors alike. As you tour the city, you can’t miss the pretty Clifton Suspension Bridge
over the Avon Gorge, a marvel of 19th century engineering. The trek to the
top of Cabot’s Tower, built to honor one of the original British explorers
of North America, who set sail from Bristol’s harbor in 1497, rewards
climbers with sweeping views over the cityscape and surrounding parkland.
Mixed in with Bristol’s hundreds of historic buildings are some of infamous
artist Banksy’s original works—discovering them around the city is always
an energizing treasure hunt. Embrace the seafaring way of life when you climb aboard the SS Britain, an
immersion in Victorian ship-building. Known for its diverse and exciting
nightlife, you can knock back a pint at an ancient public house before
heading out to catch a show at Bristol’s Hippodrome or Theatre Royal. Hunt down new apparel or a unique souvenir in Bristol’s Shopping Quarter,
whose four separate shopping areas offer a whopping 500 stores. For hip,
independent boutiques look no further than Park Street or Clifton. St.
Nicholas Market in the Old City is another place to hit for both
interesting goods and historic atmosphere. With a packed roster of soccer, rugby, and cricket teams, there’s always a
rousing match to catch somewhere in Bristol. The city is also host to the
Bristol International Balloon Fiesta each year, so remember to look up! Bristol’s two train stations and airport keep the city well connected to
the rest of the U.K., with high-speed trains departing frequently for
London’s Paddington Station. Leave your cares at the door when you book one of our Bristol hotels. Our
guarantee of friendly service, spacious rooms, and bottom-line values lets
you leave the logistics to us while enjoying your time away in Bristol.
My experience was more pleasant than expeceted. The room was very comfortable with a cozy bed and a view of the river.
Beautiful lounge areas and serene outdoor with the river view.

My first IGH review
By Gary Higson
First time staying at an IGH Hotel, and it was lovely. Food, room and staff were amazing. And we found it hard to fault.
The fridge didn’t work which was poor considering the climate. And although[More] the staff offered us a ice bucket for the Champagne, it didn’t help keep food cool.[Less]
Linked rooms for family groups and lovely staff.
By Amy Kane
We were greeted by staff who were very helpful and friendly and supported us through changes of plan etc. They personalised our experience well which was important as we were a party of 3[More] generations traveling together. The linked rooms meant we could flow between the rooms without having to exit and knock each time. Breakfast was good but needed to be replenished more often. It would have been good to have a menu for onsite food options for lunch and dinner. Parking was available for us whenever we needed it.[Less]

Nice stay, except that hotel was full and I had an issue with my shower control - so I could not use the shower. Hotel staff could not do anything to move me to another room or offer any other[More] compensation.[Less]
