Featured Fort Myers Hotels

Stay at our Holiday Inn® hotels in Fort Myers and immerse yourself in Florida's natural attractions. Spend time on the beach or hike the trails of the Calusa Nature Center to discover an undeveloped Gulf Coast landscape.

Our hotels in Fort Myers are a short drive to Fort Myers Beach. Spend a relaxing afternoon in the sun, swimming in the calm waves or watching the brilliant colors of the sunset at dusk. Alligators make their home in the mangrove forests of the Calusa Nature Center. Wooden boardwalks lead visitors through the thick, unspoiled wetlands around the Caloosahatchee River to spot ospreys, egrets, and turtles. Thomas Edison and Henry Ford spent their winters in Florida and our Fort Myers hotels are near their sprawling vacation estates. You can see their in-ground pools-a modern marvel during their time-and their private laboratories where they tested inventions during breaks from enjoying the Florida sunshine.

It's a short drive from our hotels in Fort Myers to the fresh seafood restaurants. Gulf Coast fishermen deliver freshly-caught grouper, ahi tuna and crab to waterfront restaurants and cafés in Fort Myers Beach, where it is served up with vegetables grown in nearby central Florida. Sip a citrus cocktail and relax on a sultry Florida evening, taking in the live music scene in Fort Myers Beach and nearby Sanibel Island. The evening's musical mix is likely to range from the Beach Boys' harmonies and Jimmy Buffet's relaxed island tunes, to Jamaican steel drums and Bob Marley's reggae songs.

Book our Holiday Inn hotels in Fort Myers in February, for the art and food fairs of ArtFest in Fort Myers Beach, or in spring, when the Fort Myers Beach Shrimp Festival fills the streets with live music and vendors selling Florida's favorite shellfish.

Birthday Trip
By Jennie33
We stayed at the Crown plaza to celebrate my husband's birthday. The staff and service were excellent! We stayed on the 5th floor and loved all of the perks that came with it. The room was very clean [More] and the bed was very comfortable. The decor is a little dated, but we didn't mind. The pool area is beautiful and well maintained. We loved the convince of eating at Shoeless Joe's and being able to walk to the Bell Tower Shops. We will definitely be staying at the Crown Plaza again! It was a wonderful experience! [Less]

Stayed for the last 5 years, it's time to start updating.
By jzozo
We stay each January for a week. I ended up in two different rooms. I'll start with the good. The noise level is very low, the A/C works very well and the rooms are bright and are well lite. The [More] draperies do the job to block out the light. The first bed was unbelievably uncomfortable. The second was very comfortable. Both chairs were extremely hard and I couldn't sit in them for very long. The shower heads definitely need to be replaced and the shower doors are confusing to use, the towel racks are coming off and making it difficult to open and close the doors. I won't even describe what I found when I accidentally knocked my comb over the edge of the vanity. Someone needs to do some heavy duty cleaning under wasn't pretty and the comb went into the trash. The carpeting needs to be cleaned. I don't often walk barefoot in hotel rooms but to make a trip from the bed to the shower and leave behind dirty footprints on the shower floor is disturbing. The staff is friendly and helpful, most of them. One certain individual in the late evening needs a few lessons in customer service. The bar area is open and inviting. The staff, while overworked while we are there is very accommodating. Having the bar close at 12am while the hotel is full is too early, there were several of us who were still left in the lounge and surprised that the bar closed on a Friday night. The breakfast buffet has improved greatly this year and the staff is wonderful in the mornings. Friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff is great and if you ask for anything extra you can be sure it will be in your room (washcloths, hangers, showercaps, etc) Our keys mysteriously deactivated at least 4 times during our stay, not just one of us but several of us, we were with a large group. Overall we really don't spend much time in the room but we will return to the hotel and hope the issues will be resolved. [Less]

Great Value!

The hotel was a great value! We had stayed in a much pricier hotel during our visit and was very disappointed. The Holiday Inn Express surpassed our expectations! [Less]
