From the comfort of our Swindon hotels, you can check out the immaculately preserved steam trains on display at STEAM: Museum of the Great Western Railway. Housed in a magnificent Grade 2-listed rail-shed, STEAM tells the story of the steam train and how the town was transformed by the arrival of the railway. Our Swindon hotels make it easy to explore Swindon's Old Town, built before the trains came to town. Filled with shops and cafes, Swindon's Old Town has a charming village feel. Stroll the leafy pathways of the Lawn, a 50-acre park in Old Town.

Our hotels in Swindon are close to the town center, where you can browse for cheap designer goods at the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Village before sampling one of the area's many restaurants. Many nearby villages feature quiet town greens and ancient thatched buildings-and a short drive out of town delivers you to one of Wiltshire's famous country pubs. Few parts of the country have a better selection of pubs in which to enjoy a pint of ale or a glass of cider and a delicious meal in front of an open fire.

Stay in our hotels in Swindon and explore the town's shops and Victorian heritage or head out to the surrounding countryside. In minutes you can be admiring the rolling terrain or exploring the Iron Age hill fort at Barbury Castle. With views extending well into the Cotswolds, Barbury lies on the edge of the rolling green hills of the Marlborough Downs.

Relaxed Weekend
By Dark Raven
An awesome weekend as always. It is a real home from home for us. The staff were welcoming and friendly with a call out for John who went the extra mile fir us this time. Our room was very clean and [More] comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and unhurried. Thank you for making our time relaxed and pleasurable. We will be back in March. [Less]

Quiet and comfortable
By Andy T
Used hotel for an overnight stay on route to a nearby destination. Have used this hotel before and felt that there was a distinct improvement on this occasion. Room on the west side of the hotel [More] was quiet and no other disturbances. Requested additional pillows and these were quickly delivered. Minor gripes are that we would have preferred a 5 foot bed as opposed to the supplied 4 feet 6 inches and there was no bacon available at breakfast! Anticipate using this hotel again. [Less]

Very surprised
By Matho
I was very impressed with this hotel the fact that is was the least expensive within the direct area I wasn't expecting much. However it exceeded all my expectations. I couldn't have asked for more [More] of the room itself. It was very comfortable (in fact it managed to keep me out of the bar!!!). Breakfast included with a fair variety of choice. Am tempted to see where they get their pillows from! My room backed directly onto the M4 with some roadworks going on yet you wouldn't have known it was there. Getting to the business park was tricky but I would suggest this is something Swindon council should consider. [Less]
Clean and comfortable rooms with very helpful staff
By Nicky
The rooms were clean and comfortable, with little extra touches that you often do not find. Not just ironing and trouser facilities, but curtains that met properly and blocked out the light. The [More] towels were big bath sheets and there was also a bath mat. The staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem. There was 24 of us in the party and the staff could not have been more accommodating. We are planning to return in the summer [Less]
Great service
By Clara
We had a family get together at Swindon as it was central to all of us. The staff were very friendly and very helpful they made all of us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The [More] breakfast was great with lots of variety and was all fresh and topped often. Loved the fact children could eat free. [Less]
great service
By Marti
I stayed in this hotel for a week as I was working away from home, I found it difficult to sleep due to the single glazed Windows and the very thin walls. Also the radiator made a clicking noise all [More] night from the thermostat even though I turned it off. The food was excellent but found the price of a glass of wine shockingly expensive. My room was comfortable but dated apart from the bathroom which was beatiful. [Less]
