Maybe they couldn't read...
My guest profile is not complicated. I want a room on a high floor away from the elevator. Since I was only at this property for one evening, I wasn't going to make a fuss, but I certainly noticed
the lack of consideration for my preferences. I was on the third floor and could see the elevator from my peephole in the door. Also, I was close to meeting rooms which were active. This would have been very convenient if I was attending one of those meetings.
The room was dated with its amenities and fixtures. The bathroom was spacious but in poor repair. The light in the shower did not work. The towels were dingy- greyish white. The wallpaper in the bathroom and room had marks on it as well as rips. The dual shower head was working, but the appearance of both was marginal as they show signs of age and wear. The water was exceedingly hot and it was difficult to adjust the blend of hot and cold to create an acceptable temperature. The bathrobe and slippers are a nice touch and the extra pillows and blanket in the closet were useful. The room was well appointed but again, it needed some renovation.
I was allegedly upgraded, but the room was exactly what I booked. If I had been there for more than a night I would have made an issue of the room type.
The front desk staff was excellent, efficient, and welcoming.
The staff at the lobby bar was helpful, pleasant, very friendly and gracious,
The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the television was large and worked well with vibrant colors.
I had a lovely view of all of the action in the city.
Overall, the room was alright, but it just needs a bit of tweaking to make it great. [Less]
