Settle into our Holiday Inn Express® hotels in Chester and discover Chester's medieval city center. In minutes you'll be exploring the city's imposing castle or walking its ancient city walls.
Whether cheering on the horse you've backed at the historic Chester Racecourse or soaking up Chester's Roman past at the Grosvenor Museum, our Chester hotels are close by. A leisurely stroll around Chester's City Walls-which date from Roman times-takes you past the imposing medieval Chester Castle, which is always free to tour. Head into the center of the city to the famous covered walkways known as the Chester Rows, from the 13th and 14th centuries. Chester's best shopping lies behind their wood-paneled facades.
Begin your evening in a traditional pub near the River Dee where on sunny days you can relax in a beer garden on the river or warm yourself by an open fire in winter. Our Chester hotels are close to the city center, where historic Tudor buildings hold an array of international restaurants. Look for modern British eateries that specialize in dishes using seasonal produce from around Cheshire. Night owls can prowl the many late-night clubs and cocktail bars inside the city walls, close to our hotels in Chester.
Book a stay in our Chester hotels to enjoy quiet moments by the meandering River Dee or boisterous cheering in the grandstand at Chester Racecourse for National Hunt Racing. Get out and explore Cheshire's green spaces when you stay at our Chester hotels. Soak in the Victorian splendor of Grosvenor Park, with its wood-lined pathways and "magic" well, or venture farther afield into rural Cheshire and nearby Wales.
