Our Holiday Inn® Derby hotels make a great base for exploring Derby and the mossy hills of the nearby countryside. Learn about the city's role in the Industrial Revolution in the Derby Industrial Museum or get away from it all in the magnificent Peak District.
Book a stay at one of our hotels in Derby to immerse yourself in the area's industrial history. The modern factory system was born here at the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, where milling developed into an industrial process powered by water. Take a thorough look at the industrial manufacturing process at the Derby Industrial Museum. Just a short drive from our Derby hotels, the erosion of local limestone has created a landscape of moorland and river valleys in the Peak District. On your drive around the district, be sure to tour the manicured grounds of Chatsworth House, one of the country's finest manor homes and the repository of a collection of Old Master drawings and priceless furniture.
Watch peregrine falcons soar and swoop around the spire of Derby Cathedral just minutes from our Derby hotels in the center of the city. The city center holds Derby's best selection of restaurants and bars, particularly along Friar Gate. Outside of Derby the charming villages of the Peak District boast traditional pubs selling ales made in the region and from farther afield. For local delicacies, visit Bakewell, home of the Bakewell Pudding, an almond, jam and egg tart invented right here in the village.
Book a room in one of our Holiday Inn Derby hotels to discover the city where the industrial era was born and explore the landscape of rivers and moorland in the nearby Peak District.
In general the hotel is good for value. The bed is very good and has plenty space for cars. The worst part of the hotel is the Internet. The WIFI is the worst Internet ever[Less]
Really friendly and helpful staff
I came to the hotel for a business meeting and stayed overnight. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel quiet - great nights sleep, I particularly like the wooden shutters in the room which keep[More] light out better than curtains. Large free car park. Need to register car registration number at reception to avoid a fine as it is not the hotel's car park - the staff were very keen to make sure I did not forget this. Very friendly reception and breakfast staff - 10 out of 10. Only had 1 problem in that I had booked a wake up call and it turned out the room phone did not work but the reception staff came to my room and knocked on the door so it was not a problem for me but the phone needs looking at. Will definitely stay here again. Good food and room for the business meeting. I particularly liked the fact that the hotel was very relaxing so prefered it to larger hotel with lots of other facilities.[Less]

Helpful staff and great service

I am disabled and chose this hotel as its very easy to park by the front door and has accessible rooms. The staff are always really helpful and ready to give extra to accommodate me. I really[More] appreciate this as my condition means I can only walk short distances. I stay here because my daughter is at the university and all the other hotels either don't have parking or its a walk away from the hotel. This hotel is close to the city centre and has everything I need to make a stress free visit.[Less]

Great central Nottingham stay

Very comfortable, clean and well located hotel for the centre of Nottingham.
The only thing I would suggest is doing something to protect toes from the bed legs that stick out a little. A few times[More] I had an 'ooch' moment![Less]
