Featured Vancouver Hotels

Discover our hotels in Vancouver, Washington, a historic trading city on the banks of the Columbia River. You'll soon be snapping photos of roaring waterfalls and toasting the sunset with a hand-crafted beer.

Guests of our Vancouver hotels can explore the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, originally built by the Hudson's Bay Company in the early 1800s. A restored blacksmith's workshop, a fur warehouse and an Indian trade outpost demonstrate what pioneer life was like at this bustling trading post. When the U.S. military took over the fort in 1860, Victorian mansions were built along Officer's Row for resident officers and their families. Vintage open-cockpit aircraft and replica World War I bombers are on display at the adjacent Pearson Air Museum. A trail from the fort leads to the Columbia River, where snow-capped Mt. Hood rises in the distant east.

Our Vancouver hotels are across the Columbia River from Portland, Oregon, where you can shop for deals on sportswear at Nike and Columbia Sportswear factory outlets. Take a short drive east of Vancouver to browse for cozy and iconic blankets and jackets at the Pendleton Wool mill in Washougal. Sip a house-brewed beer and enjoy cedar-roasted salmon from the riverfront deck of McMenamins on the Columbia, near our hotels in Vancouver. The innovative chefs on Portland's sophisticated dining scene favor local and organic meats, fish and vegetables. Wine bars in Portland and Vancouver pour pinot noir, malbec and cabernet sauvignon vintages from Oregon and Washington wineries.

Book our Holiday Inn Express® hotels in Vancouver to explore the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area. A driving tour along the Historic Columbia River Highway in Oregon passes breathtaking grey-basalt cliffs towering over the mile-wide river. Stop at Multnomah Falls, a roaring cascade of water tumbling down from ancient forests.

October Troutdale stay
By Bill K49
I was impressed with the cleanliness and excellent condition of this hotel, including the exterior, the common areas, and my room. Everything was very well kept up and nicely furnished. My room was [More] very accessible, comfortable, and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. [Less]
Good people work there
By nagoct1
I REALLY appreciated the front desk and manager understanding in my situation. They did go out of their way to make it right, understanding that everything isn't perfect especially in travel. [More] THIS hotel needs two things - a shuttle (town is a rainy walk away) AND a MUCH BETTER FITNESS ROOM (useless for any type of fitness). The bonus points program this hotel enlists in is what sold me on staying here - and I'm glad I did. And access to PDX is easy. The train tracks in the back didn't bother me as much as I thought they would. But the nice room upgrade made up for the pounding engine noises in the early morning hours. [Less]
Great place close to the multnomah falls. We also enjoyed the surrounding area and the sights they offer. [Less]

Enjoyed the spacious , clean, modern and comfortable suit that we stayed in at your Candlewood Property. Had enjoyed a previous stay at another Candlewood in Athens, Georgia which was also excellent. [Less]
Nice, clean hotel

Great Place by the Airport
By Holiday_Bob
I needed a place by the airport, close to Washington, with quick access to head east, and a freezer in my room...this place nailed it. I'm always skeptical of staying by the airport but this was [More] quiet, clean, affordable, and just over all decent. [Less]
great value and nice spacious rooms
By joerocket12
the rooms aren't top quality, but the bed was good size and the room was very spacious. the breakfast was a little better then what i was expecting. some hot stuff, some cold stuff, but mainly [More] things that can be kept out. pancakes was a nice touch. very good value compared to downtown portland. will need a rental car to get around. Good stopping place

What you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express. Good breakfast and newspapers. Bed was a little worn but overall good sleeping experience. Good location in relation to I5. [Less]
A Bit Off the Beaten Path
By MilDot
I have to admit that as we were approaching the hotel, I was wondering who would put a hotel in an industrial area. But it is an oasis among the warehouses. I preferred to avoid the downtown [More] Portland traffic and this worked perfectly. Traffic and noise was very light. Getting in and out was easy. The downside is that it's not what I would consider within walking distance of any decent restaurants or recreation areas. We were up on the 3rd floor. Not much of a view but again, it was very quiet and we slept really well that night. The room was clean, comfortable, and what I expect from a Holiday Inn. I would happily stay there again. [Less]
