Great Place to Stay When Away from Home
By Chugar
This was our first time at Staybridge Suites and we had a wonderful experience. The staff was helpful and friendly and the suite was very clean. We were in the ground floor and the only one thing we [More] can ask to be improved is the curtains. It would be good if there were curtains that can keep the sun out in order for guests to sleep in if they wish. Our room had the heavy curtains in the side and the see through ones in the middle. The heavy curtains were not ones that you can close to keep the light out. Otherwise, everything else was just wonderful. The breakfast was really good for a complimentary breakfast. Fresh waffles and pancakes were a plus. [Less]

Great Hotel
By Nico71
I stayed at this hotel for three nights. The elevator is a museum piece, but that's part of the experience. Great staff, very friendly and very attentive. The shower/ bathroom could use and upgrade [More] though. The Italian restaurant across the street is also highly recommendable. [Less]
Great location

We stayed here on vacation and walked to the "Iittle Italy" and Gas Light districts. We also rode the trolley and buses to Old Town San Diego, Coronado and Balboa Park and several beaches. I was [More] sorry to leave. [Less]
Nice hotel but on busier street
By dobbyandariel
We had a great experience at this hotel, but the morning were kind of loud and we had car lights shining through our windows. Neither of these issues were the hotel's fault, just a matter of [More] location! Although, the location was great to getting around and on the freeway. [Less]

Great stay - would have gotten 5 stars except for the powdered eggs
By Chadhoo
If you are planning on going to Sea World why wouldn't you stay here? It is about 2 miles from the park. When we checked in and asked about a place to eat, the desk recommended two places across the [More] street (a sushi place and thai place). Best thai place I have ever eaten at. Room was on the top floor. The best was very comfortable, clean sheets and towels. The bathroom was small but who spends a lot of time in the bathroom? Lots of parking all around the hotel so you don't have to hike to get to your car or room. Pool was small, more of larger but colder hot tub. Those horrible powered eggs... ugh. I was hoping they had changed to real eggs... life isn't perfect - but thank good ness for leftover Thai food. The staff was very nice and even though they had work to do, had a brief but pleasant conversation with my nine year old son. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and wanted at this hotel. [Less]
