Featured Savannah Hotels

Affectionately named the “the Hostess City of the South”, Savannah is known for small-town charm and classic southern hospitality. The city boasts the largest historic district in the United States, 22 cobblestone squares lined with historic homes and gardens (which now been restored and turned into restaurants), museums and hotels. Savannah's IHG® hotels are great stay options for travelers looking for a historic, music-centric, and artistic adventure unlike any other.

Things to See

Savannah has countless experiences in store for those who visit. A carriage ride through the historic district, passing by all of the extraordinary architecture dating back to pre-Civil War times, is a must. Some of the homes that remain, such as The Juliette Gordon Low House and The Mercer Williams House, have been converted into historic museums. With so much history running through Savannah’s streets, some of its past seems to linger after dark. You don’t want to miss the chance to take a ghost tour through the historic district and the beautifully haunting Bonaventure Cemetery. A visit to River Street is essential for some of the best places to eat and shop right along the Savannah Riverfront, where you can get your fix of southern-style home cooking, BBQ, and dishes influenced by Carolina’s Low Country cuisine. Savannah’s culture and natural beauty flirt with innovation and a lively art scene fueled by the Savannah College of Art and Design. Everywhere you turn, you’ll find galleries, museums, and an eclectic mix of up-and-coming artists that offer everything from mixed media work, modern takes on classics, and traditional art.

Hotels in Savannah

Whether you plan to stay downtown in the midst of historic district or in other areas of Savannah, you’ll find a wide range of options with IHG®. From boutique offerings and luxurious historical hotels to family-friendly alternatives, consider yourself covered. With a variety of room types and amenities, finding a location and style suitable for the activities you have planned for your trip is simple.

Where to Stay

Downtown Savannah (also home to the historic district) is a popular area for many travelers, as it full of restaurants and shops. Spanish moss and azalea blossoms line the parks, accentuating the sense of creativity and artistic energy that encapsulate the city. Located near downtown, the midtown area is more residential with unique, locally owned shops and beautiful 20thcentury homes. If you seek a location near the airport, the Greater Savannah area is convenient and just minutes from River Street and the historic district.

How to Get to Savannah

The Savannah/Hilton Head Island International Airport (SAV) is the most convenient option for flying. The airport offers shuttle and cab services as well as car rentals onsite so you can easily get around the area. The Chatham Area Transit and The Dot are your two options for public transportation, each offering affordable prices and the convenience of multiple routes to get you to and from your destinations. Savannah is an extremely pedestrian-friendly city, or you have the option of pedicabs and horse-drawn carriages to explore the area at a leisurely pace.

Nice hotel for the location

This Holiday Inn will be a much easier stay once they get the road work completed - pretty congested area but right off the expressway so not difficult to find. The hotel is clean and the staff [More] very nice with all the amenities you would expect from a Holiday Inn. [Less]

St. Patrick's Day Weekend
By Jaxjags904
I have stayed at this property before and decided to stay here again for St. Patrick's Day weekend. The check-in was great and every staff member that I encountered always greeted me and asked me how [More] my stay was (even the security guard was awesome!). The bar downstairs was a great place to grab a drink away from the rest of the bars that were packed and had long wait times. The bartenders and wait staff were efficient but also took the time to talk to you and provide suggestions on where to go. The room itself was clean, there was some trash left over from a previous guest. There was one CON that we encountered that left a sour taste in my mouth. As we came back from lunch and wanted to get some rest in, the house keepers were cleaning the rooms beside us. This particular house keeper put the deadbolt in between the door and the door jam and every time they would go in and out of the room to gather more supplies, the door would slam so hard on the deadbolt it would literally shake the walls. This happened at least 20 times before I called downstairs and asked if they could resolve this so we could sleep, however it still continued to happen. I went downstairs to speak to them directly, and it still continued to happen. So no sleep for us on our last day which was a bummer. As a Spire member I have stayed at IHG properties many times and know that it isn't a typical occurrence. [Less]

The hotel is welcoming and conveniently located within walking distance to Riverwalk and City Market. The staff are professionally dressed and welcoming! The hotel is one of the most modern Holiday [More] Inn hotels that I've been in and I travel quite a bit for work. You will not waste your money by selecting this well designed hotel that has a staff that is friendly and accommodating. By the way, try the meals at the restaurant they are delicious! [Less]
