Featured Milwaukee Hotels

Book a room at our Holiday Inn® Milwaukee hotels and explore the city's cultural contrasts, from the historic redbrick streets of the Historic Third Ward district to the contemporary restaurant and bar scene along Milwaukee Street.

Our hotels in Milwaukee make it easy to explore this vibrant Lake Michigan city. Catch one of the cheerful red-and-green downtown trolleys for a visit to the Milwaukee Art Museum. The museum opens its magnificent mechanical wings each morning, like a sailboat catching the breeze. Check out the treasure trove of artworks inside. The tell-tale rumble of motorcycles lets you know you're near the Harley-Davidson Museum. The classic chrome motorcycle was first manufactured right here in Milwaukee more than a century ago. Spend a sun-splashed summer afternoon celebrating America's favorite pastime at Miller Park, close to our hotels in Milwaukee, where the Milwaukee Brewers play ball.

It's a quick drive from our Milwaukee hotels to the streets of the Historic Third Ward, where 19th-century red-brick warehouses now hold art galleries, theaters and restaurants. Pick up some Wisconsin cheese from the Milwaukee Public Market, or shop for trendy jeans and clunky platform shoes in the district's boutique shops. Stop in for refreshments at the Milwaukee Ale House, a favorite local brewery in a city famous for its big-time breweries. Our hotels in Milwaukee are close to the intimate, family-owned cafes and neighborhood coffee shops of Brady Street, where you can buy anything from imported prosciutto to sparkly costume jewelry. After hours, visit Milwaukee Street for Cuban rum bars, Mexican tequila tastings and sumptuous wine bars.

Book our Holiday Inn hotels in Milwaukee and celebrate a season of ethnic music festivals in Henry Maier Festival Park during Summerfest, or visit in winter for festive holiday shopping in the Historic Third Ward.

Loved it!
By JAWR
We happened upon Port Washington coast and found the Holiday Inn. We normally try to stay at a HI if we can find one. We didn't have a reservation so when I went inside, the front staff was very [More] friendly and very accomodating. They upgraded our room to a lake view when I told them i am an IHG member. I talked about needing to do laundry so she put me on the 5th floor facing the lake, right across from the laundry room. It was so convenient and a very quiet room. Bed was comfortable and view was amazing. we will be back. [Less]

Just home from a very relaxing stay at the Holiday Inn in Port Washington. The staff was very welcoming and upgraded me to a room with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan upon arrival. The room was [More] extremely clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The location in downtown Port Washington was perfect. Couldn't ask for anything more! [Less]
Great stay during the U.S. Open

Had a great stay during the U.S. Open at the Holiday Inn. While it was a very busy week, the staff was great and attentive. [Less]
Very quiet, comfortable rooms
By Twinmom
We had a great family stay at this hotel! I completely recommend it. We were disappointed that the lobby bar closed at 8 when it was posted to be open until 10 and the attached restaurant also closed [More] early. Otherwise, the bunk bed suite worked out beautifully and the room arrangement was great for a family of four. [Less]

Looking forward to my next stay
By JennFromMN
My room was clean and nicely organized. I loved that when I turned the TV on it was quiet and I could turn up the volume to a reasonable volume (instead of it turning on to a crazy loud volume like [More] at some hotels). The front desk staff was very nice and made an effort to greet everyone as they returned to the hotel from their outings. I observed the front desk staff offering to help guests with directions (including printing directions for them), while I was waiting in the lobby for my colleague. I thought this was a very nice gesture. Staff seemed happy to work here. The downsides for me: the bathroom fan ran continuously (I know some people like white noise, but I am not one of them), parking was really full when I arrived at 1:30am (but I was still able to find parking and staff was still cheerful as they checked me in at that time of night), it took a long time to get service in the restaurant at 10am (even though there were only 3 tables with guests when I arrived) and I would have liked more menu options - since I avoid gluten it was a challenging menu. The pool area is smaller, but since I wasn't planning on swimming it didn't care - I mention this for families who are coming for the pool experience (it is a pool, but nothing amazing). Overall - this is one of the best hotels I have stayed at recently. The staff was delightful (though the restaurant service was slow - they were nice too). I LOVED the outside patio that was near the bar area. It has lovely seating, umbrellas, and a great view of the river. I look forward to my next trip to Milwaukee. [Less]
The hostess was fantastic at checkin

The hotel was in a great location for what we had planned to do in Milwaukee. The staff was fantastic. The room was very accommodating for four adults and motorcycle gear. We stayed two nights and [More] had the best stay experience at this hotel during our trip. [Less]
