Featured New Orleans Hotels

As a guest of one of our Holiday Inn Express® New Orleans hotels, you'll enjoy the rich history, great music and diverse culture and cuisine of Louisiana's most celebrated city.

Hop on the St. Charles Avenue streetcar and tour the beautiful Southern mansions of the Garden District or spend the day - if not your entire New Orleans hotel stay - wandering the charming streets of the French Quarter.
There's art and antiques on Royal Street, trendy boutiques and gift shops on Magazine Street and lively street performers and musicians in Jackson Square.
Enjoy a cup of chicory coffee and fresh beignets on the patio of Café Du Monde or duck into one of the Quarter's seemingly hole-in-the-wall restaurants for authentic Creole gumbo and spicy jambalaya. Bourbon Street can be a bit of a tourist trap during the day, but once the sun goes down, New Orleans' famous party district earns its reputation.

Enjoy sugary-sweet rum hurricanes and authentic New Orleans jazz as you dance the night away in Bourbon's legendary bars and clubs.

If you're willing to venture out of the city center during your stay at our New Orleans hotels, stop by one of the above-ground cemeteries.
St. Louis is the oldest (dating back to 1789), and its hauntingly beautiful tombs have been featured in major Hollywood movies and works of fiction.
Tour groups are your best and safest bet here; although, carriage tours of the cemetery can be a real treat.
New Orleans carriage drivers are all certified tour guides, and their knowledge of the city's history and culture, as well as their local flavor and spin are far better than any travel book.

Of course, this is only a sampling of what the Big Easy has to offer our New Orleans hotel guests.
Time your visit during Mardi Gras or Jazz Fest to experience the lavish and boisterous festivals that make this city so special.

We chose this hotel because of the forecast calling for rain and they had an indoor pool. My girls loved the pool. The Receptionist and Bistro Staff were very nice. The breakfast choices were [More] numerous and what we ate was delicious. We will definitely stay here again. [Less]
Fabulous Stay!
By ElliJae23
From Checking in, to the room, to the restaurant and staff it was perfect. I love my stay every time I am at a Holiday Inn. I always have the best experience. We checked in about 9:00 and the [More] supervisor at the front desk was very friendly and had a smile on his face. We got to our room and it was at the perfect temperature and I felt at home. Cleanliness was outstanding, went to the restaurant/bar located in the hotel for a drink with my husband and the bartender Shaun was very friendly and funny and good company to talk to . We had a peaceful quiet sleep and in the morning went down for breakfast which Shaun was our waiter and again he was busy with a lot of tables but visited and greeted everyone promptly . I would highly recommend this particular hotel to anyone. [Less]
Incredible Service.
From the moment that I made contact with Intercontinental hotel for early check-in the service was incredible. Explaining a particular dilemma with another hotel the gentleman on the phone took a [More] quick look returning to the phone announced "We have your room available come right over. The valet, bell service, front desk, housekeeping were all helpful and had a smile on there faces. The restaurant not belonging to the hotel the bartenders and the wait staff gave the same level of customer service as the hotel staff. Only a couple very minor issues occurred. Housekeeping did not remove the glasses from room and on the morning of checking out had breakfast in the hotel eatery food was overcooked. Everything else in this hotel was excellent. we will be returning to NOLA and without a doubt will stay again at IC. [Less]
My go to hotel in new orleans
By wgfanous
I travel 3-4 night a week every week for work and I only stay at IHG (switched last year). This is my favorite IHG property in my territory (gulf coast) and if the price is under 140 a night it is [More] where I stay. The staff is amazing and treats me well, and It's not only because I am a Spire Elite Ambassador, because before I had status they were exceptionally good to me. The rooms are really nice (I typically get upgraded to the parlor suite) and the toiletries are above average. They did recently switch to a lemon scent line of products that I won't use because it makes you smell like a dishwasher. The breakfest is amazing at the hotel as well. The poached egg with tenderloin and hollondaise sauce on the buffet is so good. The gym is very well equipped and is on the 15th floor next to the pool. My only problem is the parking charge. I think one of the Ambassador benefits should be free parking, or at least discounted parking. 30-40 a night is crazy. This should be extended to spire elite status holders as well. I have to park off site and walk to the hotel or take an uber if it's raining. [Less]

I want to send my appreciation to the Management and Staff of the Intercontinental Hotel on St. Charles Street in New Orleans! LOADS OF FUN THAT I DOCUMENTED ON FACEBOOK (with one exception in Houston) My stay at The Intercontinental was superb and I look forward to another stay, very soon! THANK YOU!!! [Less]
