Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by rox18 Nice stay except no coffee station.
Maybe it's petty but I found it crazy that if you want coffee in the morning you have to buy it in the restaurant, no station. The hotel itself was clean and nice. The desk staff was okay, nothing special. Also, the sink area in the room, outside of the bathroom is really small. The will-fi worked great though. And the location was perfect, very close to Time Warner Arena and resturants were walking distance.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great staff and room
This Holiday In was a great value. Excellent staff great room layout. Good restaurant and full service gift shop. I loved the amenities in the room- having a refrigerator and microwave is great.
My only negative was the HVAC unit- it was incredibly noisy and made it difficult to fall asleep. One other minor thing was the carpet- it was frayed/damaged in several spots and should be replaced.
Despite these issues, I would highly recommend this hotel. It is a great value and the convenience to all things downtown Charlotte is perfect

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by clj8897 Rooms comfortable, Conference rooms and staff are great
The rooms are spacious, up to date. Conference rooms are very nice and the staff did an excellent job supporting our team during our conference with amenities. All staff personnel were very helpful. Fitness Center at hotel is a nice addition as well.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by BBEP Terrible Bed
My husband and I were in Charlotte to see a show at a theatre that was one block from the hotel, so the Holiday Inn seemed like a great choice. Upon check in we requested an upgrade and were upgraded to a suite. However, the suite was a bit dreary....The furniture and especially the sofa springs were worn and the upholstery seemed dark. The worse part was upon going to bed, we discovered that the bed drastically sunk to the middle, so we were constantly crawling up and out of the bed. My husband and I both had a terrible night sleeping. I complained to the front desk the next morning and was finally offered a discount. On the plus side, the hotel was very clean and although we did not use the bar or restaurant, they both looked very nice. Also the front desk and the valet parking desk were very friendly and efficient.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Wedding and Bar Crawl fun
My boyfriend and I went for a weekend wedding and stayed under a group rate, which encouraged us to stay longer and avoid the hassle of finding a hotel near the airport. We had a flight that left at 6 am, and we were able to easily get a taxi (there were about 5 waiting that morning at 4 am outside the hotel). The taxi's charge a $25 flat rate to the airport and got us there quickly. The experience of getting to the airport from the hotel was the cherry on top of our great stay. We stayed in one of the rooms near the elevators, which was nice to easily get in and out of the hotel, however, it got very noisy late at night with people using the elevators. I felt that some sort of cushion under the door could have dampened the noise levels and reduced the great amount of light let in under the door. We placed a dirty towel to solve the issue. Over the weekend nights, it got very loud down at the street. Even at the tenth floor, we heard everything. I would recommend requesting a room that does not overlook the street. We enjoyed our stay! The location is great! You can walk anywhere downtown to get what you need. There is a Walgreen's a couple of blocks away. We also attended a rehearsal dinner in the University Room and the food and service was amazing!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ron80 Good Hotel
This was a nice hotel for convenience since we had meetings being conducted in the hotel and it was downtown. The bathroom needed some maintenance done on it in my guestroom and I could hear the adjoining room guests that woke me up at 3AM. Hotel itself was nice!!
