Featured Sheffield Hotels

We have two Sheffield hotels, both with excellent city centre locations and within easy reach of the M1.

Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, this city will keep you occupied. This is something of a Mecca for shoppers in Yorkshire, the city being home to the Meadowhall Shopping Centre. This is the biggest shopping centre in the region and the 8th biggest in the UK. The centre is 3 miles North East of Sheffield City Centre and houses more than 280 retailers. If you're looking for retail therapy closer to the city centre, the Orchard Centre is where you should head.

Visitors to Sheffield are also spoilt for choice with museums. There are at least half a dozen within the city, including the Fire and Police Museum, Kelham Island Museum and the Sheffield Bus Museum, all of which make for a great day for kids and adults alike.

For sports fans, there are two league football clubs in the city; Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday. The city is also home to the Crucible Theatre, often referred to as the ‘home of snooker,' as the world championships are held here. There's an indoor skiing facility, golf courses, swimming pools and a greyhound racetrack.

Sheffield is conveniently close to the M1 and both of our Sheffield hotels are centrally located, making access by train just as easy. The city's stations connect travellers by direct service to many towns and cities across the UK including Huddersfield, Doncaster, Leeds and Bristol.

Perfect stay
By VJMidge131
I thoroughly enjoyed, what could have been a very sad journey. My daughter and I stayed in Barnsley to mark the first anniversary of my mothers death. I was scattering her ashes back in her town of [More] birth. The wonderful experience of this hotel combined with the opportunity to use the facilities of the neighbouring gym made our stay delightful. The actual anniversary and scattering of her ashes was more of a celebration of her life and I am certain that this was partly due to the relaxing time we'd had prior to this event. Thank you and well done Holiday Inn Barnsley. [Less]

Rotherham in May

First time at Holiday Inn far exceeded my expectations Huge beds. Clean comfortable room Goodvfood in restaurant so much so that we are there both evenings. Chatty personable staff who were most [More] attentive. The only wrinkle was the reception on Sky Sports. A bit jumpy. No good for watching golf. Other than that excellent. Do you have any hotels in the U.K that are dog friendly ??? Perhaps someone can get back to me on that [Less]
Great leisure facilities

Home from home
By Brian
I stay at this hotel 3 times per week whilst on business. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. I have tried most of the hotels in the local area and honestly feel the Holiday Inn [More] Express Wakefield offers best value, has the friendliest staff and the location suits me perfectly. It can get noisy on a Monday night, but this is normal when hotels are placed so close to pubs/clubs. [Less]

By DCHALadies
