Third time

My third time to stay here, and I will be back. Great breakfast downstairs, club lounge and room is always wonderful. It might be little hard to find but it is worth it. [Less]
Good hotel, but bad welcome letter
By peter12123323
Hotel itself is not bad, but the welcome letter is disappointed. Since the mini bar is free for royal ambassador, but the hotel do not want people to take all the drink. So they noticed people by the [More] welcome letter. That is normal. But the tone for them to express, it does not make people comfortable. To my understanding, the royal ambassador should not be very poor people, will not try their best to take the advantage from the hotel. So simply tell people, the free mini bar is for in door use only it should be enough. But on the welcome letter, they told people it is for in door use. But also told people, if you insisted to bring them out, they would like to charge to the room rate. It let people felt not trustable. THIS IS NOT GOOD!!! Except this, the power buttons for controlling the light, 30% of them are almost broken, very bad sensitivity. Since it is central control system, the false triggered press is very hard for people to use it. Better to renew the whole panel... Little bit noise, since next to the river, and the whistle of the ship is high... [Less]
Great place to stay in Shanghai!
By Sean2009
This is a newer hotel with very nice accommodations. There is not much within walking distance but many attractions are a short taxi ride away. I highly recommend this hotel. [Less]

Great Priority Club Perks
By rndscientist
I travel to Shanghai every other month and return to this hotel each time. Guest services speaks enough English to get things done. Priority club breakfast on the 25 th floor is free and very good. [More] The 3rd floor restaurants are very good especially the Japanese restaurant. I do not speak Chinese so just point to the pictures. It is a bit irritating that our Visa and MC mysteriously does not work there yet the Hotel desk accepts cards that works. Bring cash, you can not charge the meal to your room since the restaurants are not owned by the hotel. American style food in the hotel restaurant is complete enough to satisfy western cravings and is OK. Purchased breakfast is excellent but if you have enough priority points the 25th floor has a smaller selection that is just as good and free. Also priority club gets free evening goodies on the 25 th floor if you ask the desk. The hotel is remote from the tourist attractions and center city but has nice parks nearby and inexpensive transportation. The Hotel has a 7 minute walk to the subway and for less than $2 each way you can get to any of the tourist attractions. All the signs use English characters even the subway ticket purchase is in English. The hotel staff are friendly and anxious to help find locations connecting on the subway map. The subway can get very crowded at times but is very comfortable, safe and clean. We were able to attend English speaking Mass on Sundays, plan on 1 hour to give you time. Two blocks to a mall and you can dine American fast food if you miss it. Beds are hard in China but this hotel has better than average comfort. My wife and I wished they had foam inserts. [Less]

No issues, comfortable hotel
By CantFindName
I had no issues at this hotel, overall was pretty impressed. As a Platinum member I used the 72-hour room guarantee and had no issues with it, and received complimentary upgrade to the Executive [More] floor which is the best upgrade I have gotten from any IHG hotel. [Less]
