Everything was awesome about the hotel from the coziness of the room and the friendly approach of the staff. The only downside I saw was some of the waiters/waitresses spoke very little English [Less]
Outstanding service, comfort, and views
By smgiblin
Where do I start. The Hotel Indigo on the Bund is a beautiful, stunning hotel from the moment you walk in, with a striking entrance and reception area. You feel immersed in Shanghai immediately. The [More] staff greeted us immediately and upgraded us based on my Ihg status. We were personally shown to our room overlooking the river. The room was beautifully appointed and a stellar on-suite bathroom. Everything reflected the culture of Shanghai. The bed was extremely comfortable. Shortly after our arrival, a basket of fruit was delivered to our room with a handwritten note from the front desk. This was a first for us and really made us feel welcome. As night approached we had a front row seat to the magnificent light show display that is Shanghai at night. We had been given drink passes to the roof-top bar, so we headed on up. The staff and bar were as stunning as the lights. We sat for a couple of hours and enjoyed drinks and appetizers. There is NO BETTER PLACE to enjoy the view. We slept comfortably and the hotel is so quiet. The next day we had enjoyed late check out so that we could enjoy a walk along the Bund and Nanjing street. The staff was very helpful in directing us the right way and then getting us a cab when we needed to leave. I would stay nowhere else than the Hotel Indigo on the Bund. [Less]
