Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mean & Jobsworth Was there for a conference and we paid handsomely for the conference room, plus £75 to borrow a projector for 2 hours as ours broke, and 4 hotel rooms. They turned off the conference area coffee machines and wouldn't dream of asking the organisers if they would like a coffee. Yet at other Holiday Inns there is fruit, nuts, beverages and even ice cream on tap in their conference Academy. A't breakfast (not cheap in such establishments), I was told I would have to pay extra for hot chocolate instead of tea or coffee! Would cost the hotel about 15p instead of 5p for tea/coffee. How mean can you get? I raised it with the duty manager who said she was about to go into a meeting with management and would raise my complaint. I heard nothing further though. On check in I had to be very insistent, for some time before being given a room key, that I didn't want to leave a credit/debit card for extras as I wouldn't be having any and the room & breakfast was already paid. Someone should tell them they are meant to be a hotel. October 26, 2014

Only niggles were: - Breakfast coffee not great, warm, week and tired. - Bit much calling a slightly oversized room with a sofa and chair, very small window (overlooking a roof and plant room); a suite! - Offered a free drink at bar voucher when checking in (5 of us in 3 rooms). when I tried to use it it was for one drink only, house wine of house lager only, I could not have bitter even though same price, why bother, I gave it to the barman, it scores no points. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BEST HOTEL EVER STAYED IN This Hotel is absolutely fantastic, the room was spotlessly clean, the staff were very friendly and very helpful and the food was delicious - it was all set out immaculately and look too good to eat as didn't want to spoil the presentation. Overall this was a wonderful nights stay, excellent service and very friendly staff. October 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than expected! Very modern, great value! Arrived to the hotel at night, so the hotel was lit up and looked warm and welcoming. Free underground parking was a great touch, as I knew my car was secure and it's free!!!! Reception and lobby extremely modern and clean and very quick check-in, no troubles. When I opened the door to my room I was blown away. This is by far the nicest Holiday Inn I have stayed at. Extremely modern and clean room, with warm lighting throughout which made the room feel slightly luxurious. Bed was great and TV, lights, bathroom etc worked very well no problems. Only minor thing that was bad was the green 'mood light' in the bathroom - couldn't find a switch anywhere to turn this off so had to cover the light with towels to make the room dark at night! 5 stars from me, thanks October 13, 2014

The facilities were excellent. My wife and I have stayed here on a number of occasions when we go to London and intend to do so again, hopefully in the not too distant future. October 9, 2014
