Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great Room and Reception, Poor Food and Drink Having arrived back from Moscow, I checked into the hotel with my partner. The room was stunning, an upgrade which we were very grateful for. The reception check in was faultless, so much so that the reception helped me with a small wound to me leg picked up at the airport. Having changed for dinner we went to the hotel restaurant. We asked to be seated in the restaurant but were told to wait for 5 minutes. I waited the 5 minutes and then we went back to the desk. I asked to be seated to discover that more than half the restaurant was completely empty. 3 other tables and 2 large party tables who were finished.No reason to hold us back but to sell us a drink which we didnt want. 9 items were not available on the menu and we were sat in a space where staff in civvies came in and out of the door behind us and went in the kitchen. We finally chose to eat off the bar menu, which was pretty good, The next morning we were told we had to go the upper section of the restaurant seating area, despite over half of the lower area being empty. We werent even shown to a table, just told to go there. Very unhelpful and we watched, bemused, as other people were seated in the lower area. Having a damaged knee and trying to avoid stairs was not apparently an option for us.The buffet was on the lower level, so I had to do the stairs 5 times. I asked for sparkling water, not coffee for breakfast. I wasn't informed there would be a charge, the drink was brought and a bill was dumped on the table. I asked why I wasnt told, to which the server replied "you should know it isnt included". Having stayed in numerous Holiday Inns around the world, where I have had free sparkling water at breakfast, I asked him to take it back. I fedback our experiences to the Duty Manager then heard nothing from the hotel. The reply I got, once I called to ask when the general manager would reply, was carefully crafted, indifferent and inaccurate. A very nice hotel, spoilt by indifferent, patronising staff. Stay here if you want a great room, but please plan to go out for dinner (and breakfast) December 12, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very good though not quite as impressive as previous visit Very well maintained property, easy to get to from M4 though in rather dull light industrial estate. Clean, smallish but perfectly OK rooms, generally quiet (apart from someone's 5ish year olds running around like a herd of wildebeest at midnight. Please people, you're in a hotel where people may be trying to sleep). Fridge in room is handy, wireless (free to members) easy and fast to use. I had dinner in the bar but the seating is not comfortable for eating. Would suggest the table d'hote menu in the restaurant. Service quick and efficient - despite being quite busy someone came over within seconds of me finding a seat. Overall a very nice, relaxing hotel with good standards of service, underground car park and friendly helpful staff. Only small negatives. Check out (and in) was a bit slow due to one member of staff continually on phone. Needs sorting, and bed was a bit soft/pillows all seemed firm, despite having 'soft' on 2 of them. Not a deal breaker but took the shine off slightly. For the rate I paid a great stopover hotel. Weekend rates can be very good value. December 3, 2014

The staff really are excellent both friendly and respectful, it really is nice to be welcomed back and to be acknowledged as a valued customer. The bedrooms a are modern and very clean.
