New Orleans is a world unto itself, where delicious food, Mardi Gras
revelry and inimitable music are all part of the city’s traditions and
character. It’s difficult to avoid falling for its lovely European
architecture, and the city’s sights and sounds mingle to create a powerful
experience no vacationer is likely to forget. New Orleans’ subtropical
climate means you can expect fairly warm weather, and remember that summer
is the city's wettest season, so pack an umbrella. Things to See This eclectic Southern city will undoubtedly satisfy your taste buds with
delicious Cajun and Creole cuisine, but it will also delight your other
senses. If you're craving a party, you won’t have to wait until Mardi Gras
to visit. You can wander down Bourbon Street any day of the week to take in
New Orleans' outstanding nightlife. Mellow out with the blues at Funky
Pirate, ride the mechanical bull at Bourbon Cowboy or put on a karaoke show
at Cat's Meow. If you still want more of New Orleans' music scene, head
over to Frenchmen Street to hear authentic local jazz at landmarks like
Snug Harbor. New Orleans has more than just nightclubs to keep you enthralled. Jackson
Square, located in the French Quarter, is a necessary stop for history
buffs. Gaze at the Cabildo, the building where the Louisiana Purchase
changed the nation forever, and admire the St. Louis Cathedral before
meandering through the Presbytère’s Mardi Gras exhibit. If you’re traveling
with children, City Park has hundreds of acres of open green space. Storyland and Carousel Gardens Amusement Park are sure to please the
youngest members of your group. Hotels in New Orleans No matter your traveling circumstances, it’s a safe bet that you will find
accommodation among the many hotels in New Orleans. If you're all about
exploring and don't mind if your hotel doesn't offer a lot of luxurious
details, we have a variety of clean, simple and inviting hotels. On the
other hand, there are plenty options if you want to indulge; some of our
hotels offer stellar views of the river, while others put you right in the
heart of the action. Before booking a place to stay, it may be helpful to
jot down exactly what you want from your hotel so you will be able to find
a place that fits your needs and budget. Where to Stay New Orleans' famous French Quarter offers much to visitors, and staying in
the area puts you within walking distance of top attractions, which is a
bonus since parking in the neighborhood can be tricky. If you want more serene surroundings, Marigny is a quiet residential
neighborhood near the French Quarter with plenty of things to do. Mid-City
is another low-key area with lovely green spaces and easy access to
downtown. You might also want to look beyond New Orleans' borders for a place to
stay. Some nearby hotels might offer lower rates, and if you're renting a
car, you can still experience the city's charm with ease.

Comfortable Bed, great check-in experience
By kzstout
I value a hotel with comfortable beds and this hotel did not disappoint! Dwayne greeted us upon arrival and offered early check in (for a small fee). Very helpful and courteous! Room had a balcony[More] but not really needed as there is not a view. In-room coffee service offered powdered creamer which was a disappointment when CoffeeMate offers non-perishable liquid creamers. Lobby had a Peats Coffee Kiosk which we took advantage of. A breakfast service would have been even better![Less]
Fine stay for easy access to French Quarter
By Nickman989
I really enjoyed being able to easily walk to the French quarter, but be far enough away to get a good night's sleep. Hotel was acceptable, missing some staples of 4 star like room service and daily[More] housekeeping.[Less]

The Best Holiday Inn I've Stayed At
By canedsoup98
When you first arrive, there's helpful staff waiting for you. You're greeted, given your key, and then the rest is up to you. That's how a hotel should be. The rooms were comfortable, clean and very[More] well maintained. Another note about the staff, the night I was leaving for the airport, I had let a staff member know I'd be leaving early in the morning. She got everything set up so I could be ready to go when I arrived at the front desk the following morning. That is quality service.[Less]
