Featured New Orleans Hotels

New Orleans is a world unto itself, where delicious food, Mardi Gras revelry and inimitable music are all part of the city’s traditions and character. It’s difficult to avoid falling for its lovely European architecture, and the city’s sights and sounds mingle to create a powerful experience no vacationer is likely to forget. New Orleans’ subtropical climate means you can expect fairly warm weather, and remember that summer is the city's wettest season, so pack an umbrella.

Things to See

This eclectic Southern city will undoubtedly satisfy your taste buds with delicious Cajun and Creole cuisine, but it will also delight your other senses. If you're craving a party, you won’t have to wait until Mardi Gras to visit. You can wander down Bourbon Street any day of the week to take in New Orleans' outstanding nightlife. Mellow out with the blues at Funky Pirate, ride the mechanical bull at Bourbon Cowboy or put on a karaoke show at Cat's Meow. If you still want more of New Orleans' music scene, head over to Frenchmen Street to hear authentic local jazz at landmarks like Snug Harbor. New Orleans has more than just nightclubs to keep you enthralled. Jackson Square, located in the French Quarter, is a necessary stop for history buffs. Gaze at the Cabildo, the building where the Louisiana Purchase changed the nation forever, and admire the St. Louis Cathedral before meandering through the Presbytère’s Mardi Gras exhibit. If you’re traveling with children, City Park has hundreds of acres of open green space. Storyland and Carousel Gardens Amusement Park are sure to please the youngest members of your group.

Where to Stay

New Orleans' famous French Quarter offers much to visitors, and staying in the area puts you within walking distance of top attractions, which is a bonus since parking in the neighborhood can be tricky. If you want more serene surroundings, Marigny is a quiet residential neighborhood near the French Quarter with plenty of things to do. Mid-City is another low-key area with lovely green spaces and easy access to downtown. You might also want to look beyond New Orleans' borders for a place to stay. Some nearby hotels might offer lower rates, and if you're renting a car, you can still experience the city's charm with ease.

How to Get To New Orleans

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is 13 miles from downtown. Some hotels in Louisiana offer shuttle service, so remember to check before you book. You can easily rent a car at the airport or take public transit to the city center.

Good choice

Happy with this hotel. The room and bathroom were cleaner than others in NOLA. Parking lot onsite and we felt safe. Breakfast was good. [Less]
This is my new "Go-To" hotel for NOLA
Although there was no acknowledgement of being an IHG rewards club member, very good experience. Location- Within a couple minutes of walking to Superdome/Smoothie King Center but not in a noisy [More] area. French Quarter was only a 15 min. walk too. Cleanliness- Better than most in the area! Parking Lot - Easy to access and park in. Breakfast- Good variety and fresh. Room- The 2 double bed room was just right. Bed- Comfortable and pillows were great. Staff- hard to find sometimes, but nice. Bathroom- only complaint is the trendy "barn door" bathroom. There is NO privacy there, but it looks cool. Overall this is a great find in NOLA. Price was good, and parking is cheaper than others in the area (also, actually has a parking lot onsite and I could come and go as I needed to didn't have to wait for someone to go get it for me). I was very happy with the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. I will return to this hotel next trip. [Less]

Great staff
By SamP65
The hotel is what you would expect. The rooms and common areas are clean and up-to-date. The staff is what distinguishes this hotel. While everyone we met was friendly and helpful, the front desk [More] staff were the super stars. This was our first time to visit New Orleans and the staff was more than willing to make recommendations on places to eat or things to see. All were excellent recommendations. My only criticism is something that neither the staff nor the manager can help. Although this hotel is pet friendly, the closest place with grass to curb your dog is two blocks away at Lafayette Plaza. Its a little daunting after dark due to the number of homeless. Fortunately I did not experience any problems. [Less]
Great Stay and Excellent Service

Good stay, but could be better
By Djsonn
Overall, this is a good hotel.. Ive been staying quite a bit since 2016 and it's to the point where there are better options in the area. I'm always treated well, I'm usually able to upgrade to [More] a suite or bigger room.. but a couple of things seem consistent.. first is the ventilation in the rooms, some of tje room smell musty and seems the AC system cannot get the room cool enough. Second, most of the rooms are in dire need of new carpet and furniture. On this stay my room had carpet stains in numerous spots.. other times the furniture (couches and chairs) looked worn and dirty. A complete remodel and uodating AC system is really needed. [Less]
