Featured New Orleans Hotels

New Orleans is a world unto itself, where delicious food, Mardi Gras revelry and inimitable music are all part of the city’s traditions and character. It’s difficult to avoid falling for its lovely European architecture, and the city’s sights and sounds mingle to create a powerful experience no vacationer is likely to forget. New Orleans’ subtropical climate means you can expect fairly warm weather, and remember that summer is the city's wettest season, so pack an umbrella.

Things to See

This eclectic Southern city will undoubtedly satisfy your taste buds with delicious Cajun and Creole cuisine, but it will also delight your other senses. If you're craving a party, you won’t have to wait until Mardi Gras to visit. You can wander down Bourbon Street any day of the week to take in New Orleans' outstanding nightlife. Mellow out with the blues at Funky Pirate, ride the mechanical bull at Bourbon Cowboy or put on a karaoke show at Cat's Meow. If you still want more of New Orleans' music scene, head over to Frenchmen Street to hear authentic local jazz at landmarks like Snug Harbor. New Orleans has more than just nightclubs to keep you enthralled. Jackson Square, located in the French Quarter, is a necessary stop for history buffs. Gaze at the Cabildo, the building where the Louisiana Purchase changed the nation forever, and admire the St. Louis Cathedral before meandering through the Presbytère’s Mardi Gras exhibit. If you’re traveling with children, City Park has hundreds of acres of open green space. Storyland and Carousel Gardens Amusement Park are sure to please the youngest members of your group.

Where to Stay

New Orleans' famous French Quarter offers much to visitors, and staying in the area puts you within walking distance of top attractions, which is a bonus since parking in the neighborhood can be tricky. If you want more serene surroundings, Marigny is a quiet residential neighborhood near the French Quarter with plenty of things to do. Mid-City is another low-key area with lovely green spaces and easy access to downtown. You might also want to look beyond New Orleans' borders for a place to stay. Some nearby hotels might offer lower rates, and if you're renting a car, you can still experience the city's charm with ease.

How to Get To New Orleans

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is 13 miles from downtown. Some hotels in Louisiana offer shuttle service, so remember to check before you book. You can easily rent a car at the airport or take public transit to the city center.

Great Hotel to stay at
By Slevy61
Hotel is clean, staff is friendly. Bed is very comfortable and plenty of pillows. Room Service is provided in a timely manner...even when arriving late. On this last trip, the person who delivers [More] Room Service had gone home ill, so had to go down to the bar/restaurant. The restaurant was empty and no one at the front desk, so went to the bar area to order something to eat to take back to my room. That was and has been the only time that I've had any sort of issue and I've stayed there 4 - 5 times over the past couple of months. It is my hotel of choice when flying out of New Orleans [Less]

Great location...valet parking was excellent
By jdu007
Very comfortable, great location and valet parking was excellent. Hotel looks nice from the outside. Lobby looked nice. My only complaint is that the room smelled a little musty and the air felt a [More] little too moist in the room. The air conditioning did not remove the smell or the wet feeling. I did not complain to staff as I figured it was New Orleans in October but it would have rated 5 of 5 stars if the air and smell in the room would have been more comfortable. [Less]
perfect location !
By CarlosL71
This hotel is perfectly located in the French Quarter: one block down from the heart of Bourbon St, two blocks from Canal St, easy access to and from the Freeway and walking distance to the Superdome [More] and the Harris Casino. The rooms are very clean and comfortable a cozy but in NOLA you don't pan to spend much time in your room anyway. There was a Fridge in the room that was nice. I really liked that they provide plenty of towels in the bathroom. [Less]

Area is quiet at night, away from the hustle and bustle. Would recommend staying there. Coming from the opposite direction, some form of signage would be nice. [Less]
Comfortable, clean, and convenient
By stacya61
very clean, most of the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. If you are coming in at night it might be different. rooms are spacious but limited. not all rooms have microwaves, you may need to [More] ask for one. beds are firm. only a restaurant, no free continental breakfast. Business center is in the lobby, wide open. If you want quiet or a little room to do any work bring you own laptop. Kids will monopolize the computers when given the chance. Great coffee, Like I said day staff and restaurant staff is excellent, felt at home. [Less]
