Featured Shanghai Hotels

Shanghai is one of the largest economic and financial centers in China. Years of trade and Western influence have shaped the city's modern appearance, yet Shanghai retains much of its traditional charm and flavor.
Guests of our Holiday Inn Express® Shanghai hotels will enjoy exploring the city's historic landmarks and renowned shopping districts.
Not to mention, some of the most impressive skyscrapers in the world.

Start your Shanghai hotel stay with a stroll down the city's famous waterfront, the Bund, where you'll enjoy a variety of architectural styles from the area's heyday as an international banking and commerce district.
The Bund also offers the best views of the Pudong skyline.
Pudong is the shiny economic center of Shanghai, home to the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone, Shanghai Stock Exchange, World Financial Center, Jin Mao Building and the distinctive Oriental Pearl Tower.
If you thought the views from the Bund were amazing, the Pearls' panoramic "Space Model" observation deck (over 1100 ft high) will take your breath away. You can also grab a bite to eat at its famous rotating restaurant.

Next, head to Nanjing Lu, Shanghai's premier shopping district.
Nanjing's mix of high-end department stores and specialty shops, where you can load up on Chinese silks, embroidery and jade, makes it a mandatory stop during any traveler's Shanghai hotel stay.
At the end of the Nanjing's three-mile stretch, you'll find the People's Square and Shanghai Museum, China's largest museum of ancient art.
Browse the many galleries of ceramics, calligraphy, sculpture, furniture, coins and more, and you'll get a sense of the Shanghai's rich history.
Round out your tour with a trip to the City God Temple and beautiful Yuyuan Gardens.

East meets West in exciting Shanghai, and with several locations throughout the city to choose form, our Holiday Inn Express Shanghai hotels make it easy to enjoy it all.

Very good Chinese resturant
By Lauson
I didn't expect the food will be that good in a hotel but this Chinese resturant in this hotel is really great! [Less]
Relaxing stay and excellent service
By DesignerRob
For the price and location you will not find better. I passed a kidney stone while at this hotel and the manager sent a staff member to the hospital with me to take care of paper work and [More] translation, they really made things a lot easier for me that's for sure. [Less]
Bed and pillows were great
By wombat1981
Like the whole place, however the shower recess was not clean and had mould in between the tiles. Need a good scrub. [Less]
Nice Hotel
By Pedro 66
All of the staff i came into contact with were very helpful and very courteous. They could not do enough for me. Used the club room facilities which was good but very quiet with not many people [More] using this so sometimes it lacked a little atmosphere but despite this i would use again. Despite being in the centre of Shanghai it was very quiet in the hotel grounds, if you did not know you would not realise you were in the centre of a very busy city. [Less]
Great location and ambience
By Go! Cam!
Great location and ambience, so different to any other 5 star business hotels, it's your oasis in the middle of Shanghai. caring staff, beautiful decor, great place for a wedding or romantic getaway [More] in the city. highly recommend it! [Less]
Excellent hotel, wonderful location, except breakfast service
We checked-in on 5th July in a pleasant ambience. Our room was excellent. Sleep quality was best so woke up little late than usual. The worst part was when we went for breakfast at 10am sharp and [More] found the place was empty. I have never seen any hotel to wrap-up breakfast by 10am. At least buffer time of 15 mins is usually practised elsewhere. Common time to close breakfast is 10.30am + 15 mins for wrap-up. This hotel was done at 10am that means closing was already started at 9.45am. I had to call duty manager and special menu was arranged after some argument. Next day we had to leave at 6.30 am to catch the flight and we went for breakfast at 6am to find that breakfast was yet to be opened at 6.30am. This was another unpleasant surprise for us where we found this hotel serves breakfast at uncustomer friendly timings. China is known for good hospitality, as such, our expectations were more than what we get in Intercontinental Shanghai. Otherwise everything else was super!!! [Less]
Efficient and friendly staffs
By WW Flyer
Though the hotel itself is not luxury, the staffs are the best, everyone I met especially the staffs in the club lounge. They have the mind of taking care of their customers' needs and took solid [More] action to solve their problems. Chinese restaurant is also good, both food and price. Of course, friendly staff and good service. [Less]
Filthy cloth shower curtain and no vanity (mirror) lighting
By expatballroomdancer
There is no vanity lighting in the bathroom and overall bathroom lighting is poor--too poor for shaving or applying makeup. The cloth shower curtain is filthy, smelly, reeking a mildew [More] odor. But it is otherwise clean. Food is good and staff are friendly. [Less]
Great location. Quit rooms.
By SkyHigh74
The location to the Shanghai Railway Station was one of the reasons to choose this Hotel. Also the price was a consideration of importance. [Less]
