With 30 well-appointed and conveniently located IHG Shanghai hotels from which to choose, there's no excuse not to visit to one of the fastest moving cities in the world. Dynamic and constantly evolving, this sprawling urbanity is an inviting playground for forward thinkers and ambitious adventurers. Business is booming and signs of success are evident at every turn, from the towering corporate shrines and big city developments to the throngs of ambitious workers lining the streets every day of the week. Also known as Hu, the city leads the way in science, culture, technology and international trades, and is a world financial center.

Whilst the people of Shanghai work hard, they also know how to party. So, if you want to join in you should head for hot spots such as Sinan Mansion and Surpass Court where you'll find chic restaurants, cocktail bars and nightclubs. It's not all modernism and mayhem however; old Shanghai is peppered with gardens such as the Yuyuan Garden, temples, monasteries, Shikumen houses, street markets and food stalls. If architectural contrasts are of interest, the famous waterfront area known as 'The Bund' hosts a variety of building styles in one place including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and Renaissance alongside modern structures and monuments.

The Xin Tian Di is a popular draw for shoppers and diners, and features a diverse range of cuisines from across the globe served in a myriad of restaurants, bars, cafes and stalls. Galleries, fashion boutiques, leisure and entertainment facilities can also be found here. Nearby Tianzifang, favoured by some of the world's most influential artists and designers, is home to the city's arts district and offers an even broader selection of galleries, craft and design studios.

The ancient water town of Zhujiajiao is often referred to as Shanghai's Venice. Featuring scenic bridges, gardens and streets you can rest your tired feet aboard a cruise boat or tour the area by bus. However you plan to explore the city, you can find great deals on quality hotels in Shanghai when you choose to stay with IHG. Book your break today and IHG's friendly staff will be waiting to welcome you to this fantastic destination.

Great service and facilities
By Dodo
Stayed for 7 nights. Really enjoyed myself. King (the chief concierge) and his colleagues were brilliant at recommending the places that I needed to go to visit to achieve my plans. The downer, [More] however, was the mosquitoes in the rooms and in Shanghai generally. [Less]
Great Hotel, had a bad breakfast experience though
By James008
Great Hotel overall in particular quality of room and having an externally managed gym made this significantly better than other hotels. So happy with all of this and would recommend the property [More] overall. However, I had a bad breakfast experience though that I just want to flag... Firstly, paid to have access to the Executive Lounge, but on a weekend (Sunday morning) this is shut so had breakfast on the ground floor. Not a big issue (although paid for lounge access), but after being seated realized there was a Executive Lounge area on the ground floor, so would have preferred to have been seated there simply as quieter and perhaps the person seating me should have realized from my room number maybe? After this I also had the issue of my place being cleared before I was finished - there was still a full cup of tea, juice and some food on the table... It happens occasionally, but really shouldn't have been cleared so quickly as restaurant was not short on empty tables at all. The biggest issue for me is tea when first poured is too hot, so it would have been about the right temperature when I wanted to drink it after eating, which I like, so quite annoying and as it happened was in a rush to go to the office. The staff tried to make it better to be fair and I appreciated, but it really shouldn't have happened. As I said I like the hotel, but the breakfast expeirence was quite negative and just want to flag this. Breakfast food was good otherwise. [Less]

Many times stay in this hotel, always good experience with Holiday Jinxiu, and this time with good surprise...the WIFI has been upgraded and the speed is much better than before and its peers. The [More] service at Lounge is attentive and agreable. Thanks to Sunny and his team (Doris and Anna). [Less]
Overall good stay
By Unknown
The hotel is nicely maintained as other holiday inn express hotels we had stayed before. There were no frills yet everything useful for comfortable stayed were available in the room like slippers, [More] mosquito repellant, tea coffee, locker. The AC did not run in cool mode and we were told that at this time of the year (14th April) AC is not run and we were told to open the window. [Less]
Unexepcted Attentive Service at Check In
By John
Few hotel staff would remind a guest a chilled Coke may not do you too well when having a cough. Mine was caused by the air quality, and had nothing to do with the Coke I selected as the welcome [More] drink. I felt great about this friendly reminder. A home away from home ! Good job. [Less]

Very trendy fun Hotel. ING ambassador program however is not that great if you are booking through travel agency so not recommended. Always a great experience except the last time I was given a [More] handicap room and I am 5'10' tall. So that was a little awkward. Bug over all really nice comfy place to stay. [Less]
