Featured Stratford-upon-avon Hotels

If you are looking for Stratford Upon Avon hotels in a central location, look no further. We have a hotel right in the heart of this historic market town centre.

Given its place in history as the birthplace of William Shakespeare, it is no surprise whatsoever that Stratford Upon Avon is such a popular tourist location. You can visit Shakespeare's birthplace and wander around houses related to him and his family. The market town remains something of a celebration to the playwright, responsible for its thriving tourism. Unsurprisingly, this is the place to come to catch a performance of one of Shakespeare's many plays. The Royal Shakespeare Theatre is located in the town. There are 4 other venues in the town offering a variety of entertainment as well.

Staying with the Shakespeare theme, fans of the playwright may also be interested in visiting the house of his sweetheart. Anne Hathway's cottage and gardens are open to the public.

There's more to this market town than William Shakespeare though. There are 4 museums that are not in any way related to him, including the unique ‘Mad Museum' that will be a hit with the children.

For sports fans, Stratford Upon Avon has its own racecourse and a couple of golf courses thrown in for good measure.

The town isn't too far from the M40 for drivers. Alternatively, it's well serviced by the train network too, with direct services to a number of towns and cities including London, Birmingham, Warwick and High Wycombe.

So pack your bags for a stay in our Stratford Upon Avon hotel and spend a night or two right in the heart of the home of the world's most celebrated playwright.

Really enjoyed our stay with the children and my friends [Less]
nice hotel to stay in
By Heather
Bedroom was roomy and bed very comfortable, variety of breakfast items, shame no fried egg, and very friendly and informative staff [Less]
Great venue and comfortable stay
By Katty Fletch
As a frequent business traveler it is great to know that the quality of these hotels are excellent. You know what you are getting - clean room, lovely comfortable bed, fluffy towels and a decent [More] breakfast all for a very good price. I would much rather stay in Holiday Inns than other types of similar hotels. [Less]
Excellent staff and good place to stay
By Potia
Staff very friendly. Good comfortable hotel. Wished a bit more variety at breakfast. Improvement in wifi password changes everyday. A bit annoying to take wifi password everyday from reception. [Less]
Friendly staff

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble [Less]
Friendly, helpful and professional staff.

Very fast service Only slight niggle is that the mirror is in the wrong place. It would be better placed over the dressing table in order that we ladies can do our hair and makeup sitting [More] down. Also, tea and coffee facilities to be placed on a bigger surface other than stuck on a shelf with nowhere to move. [Less]
Great Service From Room Service
By Fluffy83
Never really like reviewing my stays at hotels due to a mixed bag of experiences, however just wish to acknowledge that upon checking in at the hotel and having upgraded to a better room at £18,the [More] customer service I had received at check in is no where comparable to the service I received once I had sett led in. The pillows in the room were very uncomfortable and upon looking at them seemed to need changing, looked rather old and creamish in color, definitely need to be replaced. £18 was not worth the upgrade as room did not even have face towels. I felt peckish and decided to try room service. Bradley offered amazing customer service went above and beyond to order my meal, above all spoke in a very good tone and shown empathy when he explained that no hot food was available and offered other options. This does not happen often .Thank you Bradley for restoring my faith to Holiday Inn. You should be the face of Holiday Inn as your service is what customer service should be. The Caribbean Chicken Sandwich I ordered was delicious. [Less]
Very relaxing
By Booboo
This is a well located hotel just off the M6 that I stayed at for a training course from work. I was pleasantly surprised how nice the breakfast was and the great leisure facilities available. By a [More] stroke of luck my room was next to the gym which I used every evening followed by a relaxing steam and sauna. The bar has a relaxed feel to it and the staff were giving free drinks out on the Wednesday evening intil 2000hrs which I thought was aa nice gesture. The bar was slightly pricey along with the food menu ( which you can expect in hotels ) which led us to eating at the hungry horse which is a 4-5 min stroll up the rd. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and will be returning when I have to attend future courses from work in this area. [Less]
