Featured Stratford-upon-avon Hotels

If you are looking for Stratford Upon Avon hotels in a central location, look no further. We have a hotel right in the heart of this historic market town centre.

Given its place in history as the birthplace of William Shakespeare, it is no surprise whatsoever that Stratford Upon Avon is such a popular tourist location. You can visit Shakespeare's birthplace and wander around houses related to him and his family. The market town remains something of a celebration to the playwright, responsible for its thriving tourism. Unsurprisingly, this is the place to come to catch a performance of one of Shakespeare's many plays. The Royal Shakespeare Theatre is located in the town. There are 4 other venues in the town offering a variety of entertainment as well.

Staying with the Shakespeare theme, fans of the playwright may also be interested in visiting the house of his sweetheart. Anne Hathway's cottage and gardens are open to the public.

There's more to this market town than William Shakespeare though. There are 4 museums that are not in any way related to him, including the unique ‘Mad Museum' that will be a hit with the children.

For sports fans, Stratford Upon Avon has its own racecourse and a couple of golf courses thrown in for good measure.

The town isn't too far from the M40 for drivers. Alternatively, it's well serviced by the train network too, with direct services to a number of towns and cities including London, Birmingham, Warwick and High Wycombe.

So pack your bags for a stay in our Stratford Upon Avon hotel and spend a night or two right in the heart of the home of the world's most celebrated playwright.

the place was really nice, we were tired after a long drive and the person at the front desk wasted no time in getting us checked in. the bed was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the sleep. [More] Breakfast was wonderful and we were hungry after a good nights sleep. would definetly recommend this hotel to families. [Less]

Generally great
By Timmne
The hotel's great - everything as you'd expect from a Holiday Inn Bed very comfortable and a nice refurbished room. Good checkin and nice reception staff. A couple of issues... The F&B offering is [More] (food-wise) great - really nice food, well prepared. The staffing was generally pretty sloppy. The bar staff saw themselves as a little too friendly with guests and slipping on their brand standards - forgotten requests were seen as their silly mistakes and not really something that should be apologised for. At breakfast, flagging down someone was pretty tough despite there being loads of staff members around - I remember from my waiting on days, looking around is easy but seeing things needs skill - that these guys didn't have. The bed was some weird size. I booked a double but received a really small room with a bed that definitely couldn't have fit two people in. I noticed there was only one set of everything (cups, towels) so I think I was short changed because I was on my own. I booked a double, a double would have been nice. [Less]
noisy other guests
By hotel hopperette
unfortunately we picked a night when two coach loads of chinese visitors arrived around 10pm. our room was above the main entrance and all night there were people shouting and loud traffic which [More] made sleep difficult. also no hot water in the shower which may or may not have been due to the amount of guests using it. that being said the room was good, comfortable and we had everything we needed. great location within walking distance of star city for bars restaurants etc. would stay again.
