Featured Shanghai Hotels

Shanghai is one of the largest economic and financial centers in China. Years of trade and Western influence have shaped the city's modern appearance, yet Shanghai retains much of its traditional charm and flavor.
Guests of our Holiday Inn Express® Shanghai hotels will enjoy exploring the city's historic landmarks and renowned shopping districts.
Not to mention, some of the most impressive skyscrapers in the world.

Start your Shanghai hotel stay with a stroll down the city's famous waterfront, the Bund, where you'll enjoy a variety of architectural styles from the area's heyday as an international banking and commerce district.
The Bund also offers the best views of the Pudong skyline.
Pudong is the shiny economic center of Shanghai, home to the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone, Shanghai Stock Exchange, World Financial Center, Jin Mao Building and the distinctive Oriental Pearl Tower.
If you thought the views from the Bund were amazing, the Pearls' panoramic "Space Model" observation deck (over 1100 ft high) will take your breath away. You can also grab a bite to eat at its famous rotating restaurant.

Next, head to Nanjing Lu, Shanghai's premier shopping district.
Nanjing's mix of high-end department stores and specialty shops, where you can load up on Chinese silks, embroidery and jade, makes it a mandatory stop during any traveler's Shanghai hotel stay.
At the end of the Nanjing's three-mile stretch, you'll find the People's Square and Shanghai Museum, China's largest museum of ancient art.
Browse the many galleries of ceramics, calligraphy, sculpture, furniture, coins and more, and you'll get a sense of the Shanghai's rich history.
Round out your tour with a trip to the City God Temple and beautiful Yuyuan Gardens.

East meets West in exciting Shanghai, and with several locations throughout the city to choose form, our Holiday Inn Express Shanghai hotels make it easy to enjoy it all.

Good stay but billing issues have not be resolved.
It is weird that my total stay was missing and the customer service didn't find the record when I wrote email to request the points. [Less]
Great service, exceeded my expectations
By ChaLD
Every staff of this hotel were friendly, from reception to housekeeping. It is near the Metro station so location is very convenient. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Will surely stay at this [More] hotel again. [Less]
Commuting hub

Located near the Shanghai railway station, and 2 subway lines, and bus terminal, easy to get around anywhere. Breakfast area is great, western and Chinese typicals are available, the rooms are [More] spacious, a bit outdated, desktop and carpet show some wearouts and damage. Elevators are efficient given it is a high rise. There are a few drawbacks, it is frequented by tuor groups, daily flow is quite high. The hotel front entrance is behind a traffic partition, taxi usually stops about 100ft from the entrance. Taxi to airport is always available at the front entrance, short haul taxi needs a little wait. Overall, it is a hotel of convenece for short stays. [Less]

Good Service
By Clarissa_06
Overall is good. Just that I hope the room provided can be consistent, even by just staying for a day, the guest should still be getting a more comfortable room. The last 2 nights that I stay in at [More] the level 8, the light was dim and have smell, likely the furniture is old plus the toilet bowl has some noise due to the stability. [Less]
Good hotel and service

Nice hotel, excellent service, restaurants close by...good for business in Waigaoqiao [Less]
Prepare to wait in lines when checking in
By jtling85
Staff at reception could be more attentive to avoid lines and waits longer than one could expect. There should be more staff allocated to the reception during busy hours, or when there are more [More] guests checking in. Couldn't figure out why two or may be three staff working to serve and/or answer the questions of a guest or a group of guests, leaving other waiting at the lines. Not the first time that I observed this situation. Management of this premise needs to make its own observation in order to improve. I might not need warm and enthusiastic welcomes upon checking in, but I do expect better efficiency. [Less]
Good place to stay
By Paul
The hotel is great, location is OK - only 400m from the station with most of that under cover. Reception staff were very helpful, as expected the English level is not great, but the hotel is in [More] more of a residential area that a business one. The room service / maid was fantastic. I have never seen anyone strip a bed [Less]
Fantastic! Food not the best for a vegan though.
By Followersfootsteps
Hotel was nice and new looking. The beds were comfortable. They even had a washer and dryer, but 60rmb each for a wash or dry deterred us. They kept our luggage while we went sightseeing. The [More] hotel shuttle was not operational though the ctrip website said it was. This was due to the Chinese New Year holiday. The posting about it at the hotel didn't present the dates well and just reading that, I would have assumed it was operational that day. The breakfast was ok. Not so good for a no meat and eggs diet. The waffles were made differently than america (my friend had one). I would say overall thecfood selection was Chinese based, though there was toast, sausage, and the waffles. [Less]
