Featured Pittsburgh Hotels

The City of Steel has blossomed into a cultural hot spot with delightful neighborhoods, world-class museums and art galleries, and eclectic shops, restaurants and cafes - all worth exploring during your stay at one of our Holiday Inn Express® Pittsburgh hotels.

Pittsburgh's downtown Golden Triangle area is the cultural and economic heart of the city, housing both the central business district and acclaimed performing arts scene.
The city's hilly landscape and unusual layout make it difficult to get around on foot, so if you're staying in one of our downtown Pittsburgh hotels, you'll be pleased to know that you can work and play within steps of your hotel.

Spend an evening listening to classical music at the Pittsburgh Symphony or in the stands cheering on the Pittsburgh Penguins (2009 Stanley Cup winners).
The Strip District, with its bustling open-air markets, offers a truly unique shopping experience - one we hope all of our Pittsburgh hotel guests get to try - while historic Oakland is popular with tourists for its variety of restaurants, universities and museums.

Speaking of museums, Pittsburgh has them in spades, and the world-class Carnegie institutions are a must-see during your Pittsburgh hotel stay.
The Museum of Natural History has excellent paleontology and geology exhibits, while the Museum of Art offers both classical and contemporary selections.
If you're traveling with the whole family in tow, you'll find the Carnegie Science Center and the Pittsburgh Children's Museum are great ways to spend the day.
Finish up with a picnic in Highland Park and a visit to the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium, and the kids will never want to leave.

Looking for something more edgy and less family friendly?
Pittsburgh can accommodate your needs too.
Stop by the Andy Warhol Museum for exhibits on the Pittsburgh-born artist's life and a stand-out collection of pop art, then peruse the large-scale contemporary pieces at the famous Mattress Factory.
Once the sun goes down, you'll want to hit up Pittsburgh's popular night spots.

Southside offers lively bars, dance clubs and local concert venues up and down Carson Street.
You'll also find great coffeehouses in this area, perfect for grabbing a caffeine pick-me-up on your way back to your Holiday Inn Express Pittsburgh hotel.

Hidden South Hills Gem
By Piratemac
My wife and I had to make a last minute trip to Pittsburgh's South Hills recently. We ended up staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Bridgeville. I was very much surprised how wonderful this little [More] hotel was. We had a spacious room, a comfortable bed, clean bathroom and were met with a genuine caring staff. The price was a bargain and the location was convenient for both downtown and where we had to be for our visit. We will definetly stay there again. [Less]
Great Staff, great Hotel, everything one could need
By Marybake07
Totally 5 stars. I come from Grand Rapids once or twice per year and although my destination is 40 minutes from the hotel, I will never go anywhere else. The staff is wonderful from booking months in [More] advance, to emailing me immediately with confirmation, to checking in and out and throughout our stay. Room is so comfortable and has everything one could need when you are far from home. Its not just a hotel, it is like an apartment. I LOVE CANDLEWOOD. THANK YOU ALL AND WILL BE BACK SOON!! Traveling with my Dog
By GeyserPlusOne
When I travel, I always do so with my dog. That ends up meaning we stay in some fairly low end hotels. I always bring a sheet to cover the bed, and when I leave, my room is cleaner than I'd guess [More] most are, especially those with kid customers. This property was such a wonderful surprise! It was the only one in the immediate area that allows pets. I had no idea of the quality of the hotel; I just needed a room The wonderful suite was a nice surprise. I travel with food, and was so overjoyed to have the kitchen, especially the stove and fridge, and also, the cooking supplies (pots and pans and such). The bed was the next surprise; I've never slept in a more comfortable hotel bed, including the pillows (I travel with my own pillow, and didn't even need to use it). The room was nice and cool; I hate hot rooms, any season. The desk staff could not have been nicer, or more helpful. The pantry thing is a nice idea, tho I didn't much care for the exact selection available. I did love the free coffee. The TV and Wi-Fi were both great. The only thing I really didn't like was not being able to open the window more than 2 inches. But, that's pretty common. This will now become my place to stay whenever I make this same trip. This room was a great value. [Less]
