With the city center and train station within walking distance, as well as close access to London Heathrow Airport and the Thames Valley business parks, our Reading hotels are sure to meet your needs, no matter what your reason for heading our way.
Nestled in England’s scenic Thames Valley at the juncture of two rivers, Reading is a lively town with close proximity to Oxford and London. A flourishing hamlet from medieval times on, the town saw increased growth after the advent of the Great Western Railway and the founding of the prestigious University of Reading in 1892.
Reading’s town center is dominated by the picturesque ruins of Reading Abbey, a monastery founded by Henry I that thrived throughout the medieval era. Existing side-by-side with its charming town hall and city center is a more modern reputation for arts festivals. Music fans flock to the Reading Music Festival every year, and the town also plays host to a very popular – and hoppy – beer festival.
The shopping in Reading is nothing to sniff at, either, so come prepared to experience one of the U.K.’s top retail destinations. With quirky little shops to suit all tastes and large, attractive shopping centers such as The Oracle and Broad Street Mall at your disposal, the perfect souvenir is just around the corner.
Blow off some steam at a Reading Football Club match – the local soccer team is sure to bring out enthusiastic crowds.
As a major hub for the British train system, Reading Station has connections
to many other British cities, including London’s Paddington and Waterloo stations.
Find your way to one of our Reading hotels, and you’ll see why we have a reputation for fantastic service and top-notch convenience. Our wide range of budget-friendly options means that you can enjoy all the amenities you expect, at a price you can afford.

Excellent location
By Welsh traveller 42
Easy to walk into the centre of windsor from the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms quite large and comfortable. Fairly quiet but sounds of people (children ) in the floor above can be [More] disturbing. Breakfast was spoilt because the hot food was barely warm. [Less]
Holiday week end with Friends
By Penelopy
This was a break with my friend and her disabled Mom this booking was made direct and was just what we wanted. satisfied on all counts would recommend for a great weekend in Windsor thank you all for [More] your kindness. [Less]
nice place

Surprisingly nice comfortable stay. Great to have had parking at the Hotel, even though at a price. However, being a member, we were able to park there until 2pm [Less]
great location

all staff attentive and well trained.Good choice for breakfast.Had meal in restaurant at night but food(especially steak) no more than average.Plenty of carparking space.Great location by river [More] Thames thus enabling us to go on a lovely walk after breakfast and watching the swans and energetic rowers. [Less]
A Stay at Reading Crown Plaza
Overall it was a good stay, Hotel and the staff were very good. However there were issues when it came to how they ran the dinner dance. There was a long wait between the starter and main course, [More] and we did not get the desserts that we ordered and got something completely different. I'd be happy to stay and use this hotel again, but I would question about running an event there. [Less]
Beautiful hotel
By Sparkle smile
My partner and I had a very pleasant stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the spa and waking up to a great choice buffet breakfast! The bed was very comfy so we had a difficult time getting up! The staff are [More] friendly professional and extremely helpful. Nothing is too much trouble! The cleanliness is of a high standard. We had a room lovely room overlooking the car park. If we had planned better we would have preferred the view to the Thames River. We certainly will be visiting again and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to friends and family. [Less]
great staff and location
By vinnie aloha
Good location for legoland and train station right next to it (not noisy in rooms as well insulated). Staff very helpful and nothing too much to ask. Nice rooms and breakfast. [Less]
Affordable stay for Windsor visit
By Two Pudding Kid
Chosen because of close proximity to Slough rail station as preference to the higher prices in Windsor itself. Also because I was expecting to be getting a loyalty discount as I have booked with [More] Holiday Inn Express before. Room was adequate for requirements and liked aircon. Very quiet even though next to station. Only found a card offering 15% off food and drink under the bed on the day of departure, so no use to me. Breakfast was poor in my opinion, but not because of the various notices of how busy it is likely to be between 8 and 9:30, but lack of bacon and tomatoes. If they need to be costed into the price I would prefer to go without the fancy coffees. [Less]
Great Location
By yates301
Big down side from my point of view is the terrible internet speeds, good enough to send and receive email but other than that don't bother. On the positive side the staff are great, the Hotel has [More] all the usual Holiday Inn comforts and its 5 mins from Windsor and 30 mins from central London. [Less]
