Depending on intended season of travel, sports enthusiasts can enjoy local games played by MLB’s Miami Marlins, the Miami Heat basketball team, or the Dolphins of the NFL. For cultural exposure, visit the Little Havana neighborhood, a welcoming Cuban-American community with great food, historic landmarks like the Walk of Fame, and the annual Calle Ocho Festival in Little Havana, the final culmination of the weeks-long Miami Carnaval. This celebration of Cuban heritage includes a beauty and scholarship competition, food and wine tasting events, live music, a golf classic and more. I enjoyed my three day stay at the Intercontinental. The staff was very pleasant, food was good and the health club has good equipment. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends who travel to [More] the Miami area. [Less]

Best value on Miami Beach!
By FTB@327
Super friendly and accommodating staff make this hotel a good value option for this expensive real estate location. The staff were wonderful and welcoming, wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The [More] property is somewhat dated, but the location is ideal for beach or boardwalk strolling. [Less]

Area to improve
By KimW12
The only complaint I have is that the dining costs are extremely high at your hotel. While I understand you need to make some money with room service, Adding a 22% service fee is a little much. I [More] got a hamburger and fries with a soda and paid almost $50 for it! That is ridiculous! The same held true for the pool side restaurant/bar - the food was very expensive and not that impressive. Staff was very nice however. [Less]
