Featured Boston Hotels

Old-world charm meets modern energy in Boston, Massachusetts’ capital and largest city. Here in one of America’s most historic cities you’ll find attractions of all sorts, from sites along the Freedom Trail to the excitement of Fenway Park. With IHG’s wide-ranging Boston hotel options, you can choose the perfect place to begin exploring all the city has to offer, whether that’s the city center or the quiet pockets of Boston's outlying neighborhoods..

Things to See

Begin with a walk along Boston’s 2.5-mile Freedom Trail, which winds through the city and marks 16 key historic sites, including The Paul Revere House, Bunker Hill Monument, and King's Chapel Burying Ground. Pivot from the past to the present with a stop at the cutting-edge Institute of Contemporary Art, located on the Boston waterfront in the city’s buzzing Fort Point Channel neighborhood. Or, on the other side of town on Boston’s lush and scenic Fens parkway, you can see for yourself why the Museum of Fine Arts’ enormous and diverse collection is one of America's most impressive. Even non-sports-enthusiasts are known to find themselves cheering on the Red Sox at Fenway Park, the oldest Major League Baseball stadium in the U.S. And if you need a moment to catch your breath, you can always paddle a swan boat on the pond in the Boston Public Garden.

Hotels in Boston

IHG’s highly acclaimed Boston hotels appeal to a wide range of travelers and visitors. With enhanced guest experiences, and new or renovated amenities that include great restaurants, bars, spas, fitness centers and more, our hotels remain remarkable as new hotels, major brands as well as boutique hotels and hostels, arrive every year.

Where to Stay

Downtown Boston is the perfect choice for travelers who want a hotel in Boston that’s located in the middle of the action. The area’s many highlights are located within walking distance of most hotels, from historic Beacon Hill with its variety of antique shops to upscale Back Bay with its many shops and restaurants. And the Fenway neighborhood is definitely ideal if your Boston visit was motivated by the city’s great sports history and culture.

How to Get to Boston

Boston Logan International Airport, located 10 minutes from the city center by ground transportation, serves travelers from across the United States and the world. Free Massport shuttles ferry passengers between airport terminals and the airport station, where they can catch the T, Boston’s subway, into the downtown area or its surrounding neighborhoods. While public transport is the most economical option, you may also prefer to catch a cab from the airport to their hotel.

Rental cars are readily available throughout Boston, yet taking on the narrow, one-way streets can be a daunting proposition for visiting guests, not to mention the high price of parking. You might find it easier and more convenient to stay close to the city’s center and navigate the area by foot. You’ll find taxi stands throughout the city, particularly outside large hotels. The T, Boston’s subway, train and trolley system, is also a great resource if you plan to stay or travel outside the downtown area.

Comfortable spacious rooms
By Cookie
This was a nice getaway for myself and my grandchildren. A school vacation day of swimming and getting spoiled,, We had room service for dinner and that was a little disapointing but the breakfast [More] was great. The kid's really enjoyed the pool and the arcade. Would definitely visit this Holiday Inn again. [Less]

Quiet room by the lake

The hotel is slightly away from the main road and the room was big and quiet. [Less]
Good Location
By brunoray
This hotel is located near the places we wanted to visit, Salem, Gloucester, Manchester, etc. The hotel was very clean and the front desk person (Lennie) at check-in was awesome; very [More] welcoming. The pool was nice for children, but the flooring around the pool was very slippery; I saw two adults fall when getting out of the pool; dangerous for young children who might forget and run around. Coffee for guests in the lobby would be nice; you could only get it from a machine; very expensive and not nearly enough cream and sugar. Coffee is offered pretty much everywhere. Beds comfortable and room temp easily adjusted. Would recommend to friends. [Less]

Best Hotel Stay in a long time
By Lynn
Staff we're friendly accommodating, great breakfast, the kids enjoyed the pool, everything was very clean, beds comfortable. It was great having a microwave and fridge in the room. We have one child [More] who is a picky eater so it's nice to know we could heat up stuff we brought. [Less]
Boston Marathon
By PJC1234
I ran my 13th Boston Marathon and I will definitely be back to this hotel. The morning of the race, they started breakfast at 5am. They had Apples, oranges, Power Bars, Water, etc... plus bags for us [More] to carry it in to the start. NO OTHER HOTEL has ever done that on race morning. Plus, it is close to the Lechmere T station and easy to get downtown to Boston. My wife walked to the finish area - probably 1.5 miles - easy walk. [Less]
overall good
By Nancy2542
The front desk was courteous and professional and made sure I knew what the amenities were. They were welcoming of family/friends staying to visit Mass General patients and offered a discount. They [More] also covered the shuttle ride from the hospital to the hotel. Housekeeping staff was upbeat and helpful. I especially enjoyed the breakfast choices and quality of the food. I would rate as better than a diner. I had the scrambled eggs, bacon, wheat toast, coffee with non fat milk and took a banana and Chobani yogurt to go. On the negative side, the "workout room" was a block away and inconvenient for a hotel stay. It might have been okay during the day, but since it was night and I didn't know the area I didn't venture. The room could have been cleaner - the blinds, sofa bed handle and the hair dryer were sticky. No idea what was on them and I'd rather not know... We had a junior suite and the door knob was broken between the two rooms. Overall, I'd recommend as the pros outweighed the cons. [Less]
