Old-world charm meets modern energy in Boston, Massachusetts’ capital and largest city. Here in one of America’s most historic cities you’ll find attractions of all sorts, from sites along the Freedom Trail to the excitement of Fenway Park. With IHG’s wide-ranging Boston hotel options, you can choose the perfect place to begin exploring all the city has to offer, whether that’s the city center or the quiet pockets of Boston's outlying neighborhoods..

Things to See

Begin with a walk along Boston’s 2.5-mile Freedom Trail, which winds through the city and marks 16 key historic sites, including The Paul Revere House, Bunker Hill Monument, and King's Chapel Burying Ground. Pivot from the past to the present with a stop at the cutting-edge Institute of Contemporary Art, located on the Boston waterfront in the city’s buzzing Fort Point Channel neighborhood. Or, on the other side of town on Boston’s lush and scenic Fens parkway, you can see for yourself why the Museum of Fine Arts’ enormous and diverse collection is one of America's most impressive. Even non-sports-enthusiasts are known to find themselves cheering on the Red Sox at Fenway Park, the oldest Major League Baseball stadium in the U.S. And if you need a moment to catch your breath, you can always paddle a swan boat on the pond in the Boston Public Garden.

Hotels in Boston

IHG’s highly acclaimed Boston hotels appeal to a wide range of travelers and visitors. With enhanced guest experiences, and new or renovated amenities that include great restaurants, bars, spas, fitness centers and more, our hotels remain remarkable as new hotels, major brands as well as boutique hotels and hostels, arrive every year.

Where to Stay

Downtown Boston is the perfect choice for travelers who want a hotel in Boston that’s located in the middle of the action. The area’s many highlights are located within walking distance of most hotels, from historic Beacon Hill with its variety of antique shops to upscale Back Bay with its many shops and restaurants. And the Fenway neighborhood is definitely ideal if your Boston visit was motivated by the city’s great sports history and culture.

How to Get to Boston

Boston Logan International Airport, located 10 minutes from the city center by ground transportation, serves travelers from across the United States and the world. Free Massport shuttles ferry passengers between airport terminals and the airport station, where they can catch the T, Boston’s subway, into the downtown area or its surrounding neighborhoods. While public transport is the most economical option, you may also prefer to catch a cab from the airport to their hotel.

Rental cars are readily available throughout Boston, yet taking on the narrow, one-way streets can be a daunting proposition for visiting guests, not to mention the high price of parking. You might find it easier and more convenient to stay close to the city’s center and navigate the area by foot. You’ll find taxi stands throughout the city, particularly outside large hotels. The T, Boston’s subway, train and trolley system, is also a great resource if you plan to stay or travel outside the downtown area.

Anniversary Night Away
By bunibrothers
We checked in to the hotel and then immediately had to leave to make our dinner reservation in Boston. When we returned to our room, their was a note from the staff letting us know that they had a [More] welcome amenity gift waiting for us. Due to the late hour, we did not get our gift that evening. The next morning upon checking out, I let the front desk know about missing the gift the prior evening, and they had it packed up for us to take with us when we left. [Less]
stylish, comfortable rooms

I had a great experience at the Hotel Indigo Boston-Newton Riverside. The staff was friendly and professional and the hotel was clean and aesthetically pleasing. The room had a contemporary style, [More] refreshingly different from most generic hotel interiors. Highlights included smooth, clean, uncarpeted floors, stylish artwork and decorative pillows and furniture, the most comfortable bed and pillows ever, and a gorgeous bathroom with Aveda products. I will definitely use Hotel Indigo again. [Less]
Had better Intercontinental experiences
By TechGuyfromCA
This was an okay experience staying at an Intercontinental. The room was not very clean, there were spots on the carpet and there was some gooey stuff on the window sill. Heating in the room was very [More] unpredictable as it became very hot sometime or it became very cold. Staff was courteous and helpful. I am uploading an image of the gooey stuff on the window sill which was not cleaned during my two night stay [Less]
Absolutely wonderful hotel
By AnnieO25
This hotel was located in the financial district about a 3 minute walk to the South Station T. I easily walked around the entire city without resorting to the T. The staff at the hotel were [More] absolutely outstanding - courteous, friendly and helpful. The rooms were quiet, dark and oh so comfortable, and very, very clean. They had all the amenities you need. The bathrooms were very clean and just outstanding. I highly recommend this hotel and I would absolutely stay here again. [Less]
Club Lounge
By jfwill
The only down side was the club lounge. Staff preparing food seemed to very slow and inexperienced. One morning I had to spend time finding a pepper shaker that would work. Staff preparing omelets [More] did not appear to know how to do it. A lady asking for fried eggs got the wrong order. These are small issues but on a busy weekend it does not represent the service level that Intercontinental is known for. [Less]
