Featured Boston Hotels

Old-world charm meets modern energy in Boston, Massachusetts’ capital and largest city. Here in one of America’s most historic cities you’ll find attractions of all sorts, from sites along the Freedom Trail to the excitement of Fenway Park. With IHG’s wide-ranging Boston hotel options, you can choose the perfect place to begin exploring all the city has to offer, whether that’s the city center or the quiet pockets of Boston's outlying neighborhoods..

Things to See

Begin with a walk along Boston’s 2.5-mile Freedom Trail, which winds through the city and marks 16 key historic sites, including The Paul Revere House, Bunker Hill Monument, and King's Chapel Burying Ground. Pivot from the past to the present with a stop at the cutting-edge Institute of Contemporary Art, located on the Boston waterfront in the city’s buzzing Fort Point Channel neighborhood. Or, on the other side of town on Boston’s lush and scenic Fens parkway, you can see for yourself why the Museum of Fine Arts’ enormous and diverse collection is one of America's most impressive. Even non-sports-enthusiasts are known to find themselves cheering on the Red Sox at Fenway Park, the oldest Major League Baseball stadium in the U.S. And if you need a moment to catch your breath, you can always paddle a swan boat on the pond in the Boston Public Garden.

Hotels in Boston

IHG’s highly acclaimed Boston hotels appeal to a wide range of travelers and visitors. With enhanced guest experiences, and new or renovated amenities that include great restaurants, bars, spas, fitness centers and more, our hotels remain remarkable as new hotels, major brands as well as boutique hotels and hostels, arrive every year.

Where to Stay

Downtown Boston is the perfect choice for travelers who want a hotel in Boston that’s located in the middle of the action. The area’s many highlights are located within walking distance of most hotels, from historic Beacon Hill with its variety of antique shops to upscale Back Bay with its many shops and restaurants. And the Fenway neighborhood is definitely ideal if your Boston visit was motivated by the city’s great sports history and culture.

How to Get to Boston

Boston Logan International Airport, located 10 minutes from the city center by ground transportation, serves travelers from across the United States and the world. Free Massport shuttles ferry passengers between airport terminals and the airport station, where they can catch the T, Boston’s subway, into the downtown area or its surrounding neighborhoods. While public transport is the most economical option, you may also prefer to catch a cab from the airport to their hotel.

Rental cars are readily available throughout Boston, yet taking on the narrow, one-way streets can be a daunting proposition for visiting guests, not to mention the high price of parking. You might find it easier and more convenient to stay close to the city’s center and navigate the area by foot. You’ll find taxi stands throughout the city, particularly outside large hotels. The T, Boston’s subway, train and trolley system, is also a great resource if you plan to stay or travel outside the downtown area.

Convenient rail svc to Boston
By Steve 0522
Susanna, day front staff, very professional and personable. She exceeded our expectations in helping/directing us re, transportation svcs since we had an important event @ Faneuil Hall in Boston [More] Excellent shuttle svc. Slight communication problems w/night staff concerning train station pick up, but overall, Geoffrey, shuttle driver made up for it thru his friendly and professional demeanor. What impressed us most was that he refused a gratuity, even though the mishap was NOT his fault. NOTE: Geoffrey, all day front staff apologized re, this matter, however, night staff didn't say a word, she even passed by us when we arrived back @ the hotel. Other than that-- Awesome place and staff! [Less]
Great Staff/Service
By Figures
Unfortunately, there was a lot of noise on our floor during our stay; we don't blame the hotel. The fan in the bathroom did not work. It was the first time I have stayed at a Holiday Inn [More] where breakfast was not included. [Less]
Great Place to Stay
By Teddi01
We have stayed here numerous times this year. We learned of the hotel because they are close to Brigham and Women's and offer a hospital discount. The staff is always delightful. [Less]

Best Boston Hotel Business Venue
There is nowhere as convenient (on Atlantic Avenue, a major thoroughfare), accessible by the Logan Airport Water Taxi, and adjacent to many newer eateries like Nebo, one of Boston's finest. The lobby [More] is elegant and spacious with plenty of sitting space while you're waiting for colleagues or clients to gather. Handsomely appointed. The staff is well-spoken and trained to be efficient yet not effusive. Their interactions are clearly not scripted and their own which I appreciate. The rooms look out at the harbor. Only negative is that there is no window that opens, which given the harbor setting would be appealing. Staff is solid from the doorman to the room service people: all top of the line. Older Boston hotels can be closely confined in the downtown area. The IC has a park across from it on one side and the harbor on the other. It's just the best of Boston! [Less]
