Old-world charm meets modern energy in Boston, Massachusetts’ capital and largest city. Here in one of America’s most historic cities you’ll find attractions of all sorts, from sites along the Freedom Trail to the excitement of Fenway Park. With IHG’s wide-ranging Boston hotel options, you can choose the perfect place to begin exploring all the city has to offer, whether that’s the city center or the quiet pockets of Boston's outlying neighborhoods..

Things to See

Begin with a walk along Boston’s 2.5-mile Freedom Trail, which winds through the city and marks 16 key historic sites, including The Paul Revere House, Bunker Hill Monument, and King's Chapel Burying Ground. Pivot from the past to the present with a stop at the cutting-edge Institute of Contemporary Art, located on the Boston waterfront in the city’s buzzing Fort Point Channel neighborhood. Or, on the other side of town on Boston’s lush and scenic Fens parkway, you can see for yourself why the Museum of Fine Arts’ enormous and diverse collection is one of America's most impressive. Even non-sports-enthusiasts are known to find themselves cheering on the Red Sox at Fenway Park, the oldest Major League Baseball stadium in the U.S. And if you need a moment to catch your breath, you can always paddle a swan boat on the pond in the Boston Public Garden.

Hotels in Boston

IHG’s highly acclaimed Boston hotels appeal to a wide range of travelers and visitors. With enhanced guest experiences, and new or renovated amenities that include great restaurants, bars, spas, fitness centers and more, our hotels remain remarkable as new hotels, major brands as well as boutique hotels and hostels, arrive every year.

Where to Stay

Downtown Boston is the perfect choice for travelers who want a hotel in Boston that’s located in the middle of the action. The area’s many highlights are located within walking distance of most hotels, from historic Beacon Hill with its variety of antique shops to upscale Back Bay with its many shops and restaurants. And the Fenway neighborhood is definitely ideal if your Boston visit was motivated by the city’s great sports history and culture.

How to Get to Boston

Boston Logan International Airport, located 10 minutes from the city center by ground transportation, serves travelers from across the United States and the world. Free Massport shuttles ferry passengers between airport terminals and the airport station, where they can catch the T, Boston’s subway, into the downtown area or its surrounding neighborhoods. While public transport is the most economical option, you may also prefer to catch a cab from the airport to their hotel.

Rental cars are readily available throughout Boston, yet taking on the narrow, one-way streets can be a daunting proposition for visiting guests, not to mention the high price of parking. You might find it easier and more convenient to stay close to the city’s center and navigate the area by foot. You’ll find taxi stands throughout the city, particularly outside large hotels. The T, Boston’s subway, train and trolley system, is also a great resource if you plan to stay or travel outside the downtown area.

Excellent hotel, great location
By Mike375
This is an excellent location in south Boston. It's about a 5 minute walk to the Andrew T-Station (Red Line), and the hotel is next to South Bay Center, with a variety of stores and restaurants. [More] Ample free parking at the hotel is a nice plus as well. I travel to Boston for work frequently, and the only negative about this hotel is the highly variable rates at different times of the year. In the winter, it's a great value. In the summer, a little pricey; but you really can't beat the location. [Less]
