Featured Shanghai Hotels

From its soaring modern skyline to its lush gardens and palaces, Shanghai has long been a place of fascinating intersections. Both a historic epicenter of global trade and a city bisected into two distinct cores by the Huangpu River, our wide range of Shanghai hotels will help you experience these pleasing contradictions firsthand.
Get to know Shanghai’s dramatic skyline from the vertiginous observation deck of the Shanghai World Financial Center’s 100th floor. From there, hit the Riverside Promenade in the Bund District to begin to get a feel for the city and its lively mix of old and new. Here, the original trading houses and consulates of European nations line the riverfront. Located within the old walled city, the City God Temple is a large complex of roofs eaved in traditional Chinese style, with serene tea houses and pavilions that help you forget you are in one of the world’s largest cities. From there, stroll to the nearby Yuyuan Garden, a 16th century monument to tranquility that boasts the Exquisite Jade Rock, an impressive boulder that is rumored to have been salvaged from a shipwrecked shipment bound for the Chinese emperor.
Cross the river to Pudong, Shanghai’s center of modernity, and crane your neck to view the Oriental Pearl Tower, a true symbol of the city. Many are drawn by the pull of Nanjing Road’s buzzing neon streets, and you’ll see why once you witness the spectacle of boutiques, scrumptious traditional dining, and people watching for yourself. The Yuyuan Bazaar offers more
traditional Chinese shopping opportunities, and an ideal spot to try some piping hot dumplings. Learn more about the past and current history of the city while indulging in a glitzy night out at the one-of-a-kind Shanghai Circus World. During this spectacular show, scenes of Chinese history are brought to life through a mix of dance, acrobatics, and martial arts synchronized with a music and light show.

I like this hotel because of this location in Pudong areas, warm welcome by the staff makes me feel like a home. I would like to stay there for my next business trip travel. [Less]
over all experience

While the room and service were excellent, - the lobby and the restaurants were COLD. It was not pleasant to wait in the lobby or have breakfast that's right off the lobby. [Less]

One of my favourites
By booboo1234
This Holiday Inn JinXiu is one of my favourite hotels in Shanghai. It is the one hotel I look forward to and you will always get a warm welcome. It is hard to describe but over all those years they [More] have managed to employ people that treat you well. No request is ever too much work for them. I come here a lot on business and don't have a lot of special requests. But when I brought my wife and 8 months old daughter up from Hong Kong we were given a complimentary upgrade to a suite so that my daughter had a separate room. I am sure that they had a lot of availability over the weekend but this is completely beside the point. Little things that make big differences to people like us when we travel. It just makes you realize that you want to stay loyal with the IHG scheme. I travel 50% of my life and this is my hotel group of choice in most countries. [Less]

Definitely a lovely property with great staff. The property is easy to find, close to public transportation and in a area that is very walkable [Less]
Club Level stands out
By Randy427
The atmosphere at the club level is easy to both work and relax, the staff is warm and professional. The food choices should be refreshed though, I visit each quarter and find the choices less [More] appealing that that before. The key differentiator your staff, Miss Lily, Mr. Derek I have come to know over the past year and look forward to seeing them each time I visit. The rest of the hotel is mixed, though the housekeeping exceeds that of similar hotels, the restaurant and bar area is only basic. the lack of entertainment, coupled with the marginal pool would normally make this less of a destination.
