Excellent as Usual
By Jgonzalo413
I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions for leisure and I use the hotel regularly. The hotel has undergone numerous renovations to the rooms as well as recent upgrade and renovation to the [More] front hotel lobby and reception. The staff are genuinely concerned about customer satisfaction and are working to deliver the service levels that the IHG chain is renowned for. While the hotel is close to downtown doral and the parking is difficult (narrowed spaces) the staff trys to make up for that in its service. Overall I have found it to be one of my favorites when travelling to Doral. [Less]
Comfortable room

Check-in was efficient. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. The room had been updated and the bed was comfortable, but not the lobby area. In fact I thought that the hotel had closed [More] down when I first walked into the lobby. Breakfast was excellent, the best i've had at a HIE. I did not like that the main parking area was behind the main entrance, and to access you had to go through the swimming pool area and use your room key, or go around. This was a bit of a nuisance in checking in and out. [Less]

It's Miami
By Zak477
Stayed there last weekend for meetings and to catch some football. The hotel lobby is beautiful. The front desk staff was excellent. This has become my standard experience with IHG properties (just [More] in the last two months I've stayed at San Juan, London, and now this one, and will be staying at the Buckhead location soon). My room wasn't ready (it was my fault on the change request to a different room) so they gave me access to the club lounge to wait. Just like all intercontinental stays, the club lounge is always worth it, and the staff there is amazing. Boris in the lounge went above and beyond for me, warming up my previous dinner leftovers and plating it as if I was in the restaurant again. The few negatives I had, management tried fixing it immediately. I flew in and used Dav El to transport me (which I must say both drivers were on time, courteous, and great conversationalists) when I asked for a rental at Avis in the lobby, I was greeted by a very rude individual, who thankfully just worked for Avis and not the property. I brought my experience to Elvis (manager in the lobby) -and he did whatever he had to do immediately, and remembered me through out the rest of my stay. The other negative were the automatic blinds in the rooms. Both nights (or I should say mornings) promptly at 5:30AM the shades went up by themselves, which combined with the loud motor and the bright sun, didn't let me sleep in. Luckily it's Miami, and there's worse places to be wide awake that early on a weekend. I stayed in room 3204, so just keep an eye out and make sure that's fixed if you get the room. Besides those two minor hiccups, I can't wait to visit the property again. On a little side note, if the SeaFair hatch is there and hosting a party, bring ear plugs as it can stay hopping late into the night. [Less]
Good price, Great views, Good location
By John9018
The hotel staff went out of their way to add to the experience of a week in Miami. The rooms are clean and comfortable. My room looked out over the city which was a great view. I also enjoyed the [More] great view over the bay from poolside. A short walk brings you to good food, shopping and dancing. Plus as a bonus, live music playing every evening with plenty of seating to hang with friends and listen. Definitely worth the money I paid and then some. [Less]
