With 30 well-appointed and conveniently located IHG Shanghai hotels from which to choose, there's no excuse not to visit to one of the fastest moving cities in the world. Dynamic and constantly evolving, this sprawling urbanity is an inviting playground for forward thinkers and ambitious adventurers. Business is booming and signs of success are evident at every turn, from the towering corporate shrines and big city developments to the throngs of ambitious workers lining the streets every day of the week. Also known as Hu, the city leads the way in science, culture, technology and international trades, and is a world financial center.

Whilst the people of Shanghai work hard, they also know how to party. So, if you want to join in you should head for hot spots such as Sinan Mansion and Surpass Court where you'll find chic restaurants, cocktail bars and nightclubs. It's not all modernism and mayhem however; old Shanghai is peppered with gardens such as the Yuyuan Garden, temples, monasteries, Shikumen houses, street markets and food stalls. If architectural contrasts are of interest, the famous waterfront area known as 'The Bund' hosts a variety of building styles in one place including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and Renaissance alongside modern structures and monuments.

The Xin Tian Di is a popular draw for shoppers and diners, and features a diverse range of cuisines from across the globe served in a myriad of restaurants, bars, cafes and stalls. Galleries, fashion boutiques, leisure and entertainment facilities can also be found here. Nearby Tianzifang, favoured by some of the world's most influential artists and designers, is home to the city's arts district and offers an even broader selection of galleries, craft and design studios.

The ancient water town of Zhujiajiao is often referred to as Shanghai's Venice. Featuring scenic bridges, gardens and streets you can rest your tired feet aboard a cruise boat or tour the area by bus. However you plan to explore the city, you can find great deals on quality hotels in Shanghai when you choose to stay with IHG. Book your break today and IHG's friendly staff will be waiting to welcome you to this fantastic destination.

Latest Shanghai Hotel Reviews

Far away from downtown
By Kate-S
This hotel is far away from downtown, we drive nearly one hour from downtown here, initially we'd like to spend a romantic weekend in nearby SH, however, there're not much to see in "Di ShuiHu" area, [More] you will not be attracted by the seaside and even there's no good restaurant nearby. And regarding to the hotel itself, it's about the average of a HIX, and because of the location, there's musty smell in room, but there's balcony in every room, it's good. [Less]
good view, nice place
By XXIA
I stayed in this hotel with family to have a nice weekend in Dishui lake. I like the sea view. but I found several hairs on the bed, so seems cleanness is not good enough. Overall, I recommend this [More] hotel. [Less]
Something different for Shanghai
By R3SHA
Having your room facing the sea to experience a different Shanghai less than 100KM from downtown. Weekend package for IHG memeber makes the trip even more attractive. Breakfast is something needs to [More] improve. Room always smells un-fresh. Maybe too high humidity? This made first impression not that good. As it's far away from any shopping area, it's better to bring your own snacks. If you would like to eat in the restaurant, you need to order 3 days in advance. Very un-Shanghai... [Less]

Nice hotel to stay
By shorty
Holiday Inn Express at Shanghai Pujing is a nice place to stay in the Shanghai area without spending too much. Very new and comfortable. The shuttle to the subway was a nice feature since it is [More] about one mile away. The room is spacious and has all the essentials. When I need a shaver since my luggage was delayed, the front desk provide without any problem. [Less]
Nice Hotel and good service
By Bannie
I was upgraded due to the full booking and late arrival. Good hotel and service even with the delay due to the system rebooting when checked in. [Less]
Great great stay

Lovely clean hotel . Would come and stay again . Great value for money. Very central to down town [Less]
can be more generous to Members
The property is fine. But I think the hotel can be more generous to frequent visitors. I used to be staying in the executive rooms with access to the lounge. But that was history. I was warned by the [More] staff ahead of time but i still feel downgraded. The hotel was under renovation and it would have been nice and thoughtful if i had been arranged to stay in the executive wing to avoid the noise and dust . [Less]
