Depending on intended season of travel, sports enthusiasts can enjoy local games played by MLB’s Miami Marlins, the Miami Heat basketball team, or the Dolphins of the NFL. For cultural exposure, visit the Little Havana neighborhood, a welcoming Cuban-American community with great food, historic landmarks like the Walk of Fame, and the annual Calle Ocho Festival in Little Havana, the final culmination of the weeks-long Miami Carnaval. This celebration of Cuban heritage includes a beauty and scholarship competition, food and wine tasting events, live music, a golf classic and more. Perfect
By kplotnik
We chose this hotel for the location to the cruise terminal. Service was excellent and very friendly. Standard Holiday Inn Express breakfast, which we have come to expect. Close to eateries within [More] walking distance. Internet was good and fast. Pleasant room. Will stay there again in the future. [Less]
Comfortable, clean and very convenient to port
By CindyA1
We have stayed in this hotel several times for one night, pre-cruise. It is in the perfect location, inexpensive 3rd party transport to the port, clean, friendly, safe, free breakfast. Will [More] definitely stay here again [Less]
Nice place to stay, under construction for the next year.

A fair hotel for the area. Central to the heart of Ft. Lauderdale with great dining in walking distance. Parking is extremely limited during a major upgrade/construction. Shuttle is available. [Less]
The right place pre-cruise stay.
By TMitch
Room clean. Front desk great. One young lady on morning staff was kind of not so nice. Smirky is the word that comes to mind. Hotel recommends using shuttle for transport to cruise at 11 am. This [More] seems a bit early for us to get access but Turns out Royal will let you in early but everything is still locked down with no access to rooms so does not make much sense to go that early. Hotel breakfast standard HIE fare. Manger did have menus for take out delivery food the night before cruise and it was very good, with fast delivery. Nice touch. [Less]
Good Place

Didn't expect to have to write an essay for this survey. And requiring 50 characters so that I can save this screen was not the highlight of the experience. [Less]
Nice hotel
By Suzieq2002
I'm a real person who stayed at this hotel Sept 15th. It's a nice hotel to stay at. I had no problems. Shuttle comes to pick you at the airport fast and if you need to go back to the airport, you can [More] tell the what time you need to leave. My room was clean and up to date and OMG I didn't want to get out of that bed because it felt so good. There were stores and places to eat across the street which was great. This is not some fancy 5 star hotel, but if your looking for a nice hotel with no major frills, clean and quiet room then this place is great and you don't have to break the bank staying there. Staff was very nice and hotel was clean. Next time I come to Ft Lauderdale for another cruise, I will be staying there for sure. [Less]
Great stay!
By jyp504
My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Z Ocean Hotel, from the incredibly friendly staff at the front desk to the upgrade to a spa suite and the bottle of wine waiting for us in the room. [More] We had a short stay, so we did not get to enjoy the drink coupons nor the chair service on the beach, but we did enjoy the private jacuzzi on our balcony. The bed was very comfortable and we slept like babies after our long flight from Brazil. [Less]
Great Hotel and Location!
By GoOUSooners!
Stayed here for a couple nights over Labor Day weekend. The hotel is in an excellent spot in South Beach. Everything is within walking distance - pubs, clubs, restaurants, shopping, etc. Staff we [More] interacted with were all very professional and polite. Breakfast menu is very nice. Did not have other meals at the hotel besides breakfast. We were upgraded to a suite with a hot tub on the upper outside deck. Room and bathroom were very nice with lots of space. Hot tub on upper deck could use replacement, but it was a nice touch. The beach is an excellent perk. As a hotel guest you can walk to the beach area and get your own umbrella and chairs at no charge. The only issue I had was that at least over Labor Day weekend this is a party hotel. Balconies on the interior of the hotel have no privacy and people were partying at 3+AM. Will definately return. [Less]
Lovely, as always
By Jon6872
Z Ocean is our favorite hotel in South Beach. There are other very nice hotels in the area, but we will always choose this one first. The hotel property and location are perfect for enjoying the [More] beach and the local amenities, and the staff is always helpful, courteous and professional. [Less]
