I booked a room for one night to attend a Ball. As I was heading to my room I was greeted by 16 Cherry Hill police officers who accompanied by the hotel mgr stated someone had STOLEN a desk from the
hallway. The manager then stated the desk must have been borrowed. Turns out it was taken into the Presidential Suite to use as a food table. POINT IS 16 police officers for a desk that went into a hotel room and did not leave the premises. Stolen is what must have brought the officers to the site. One officer told me it was a noise complaint which is a huge difference than stolen property that did not leave the hotel floor.
The hotel knowing an event with 100s of Shriners honoring a member should have placed all guests on the same floor to avoid noise complaints from other non attendees but to call the police and state there was a theft is offensive and demeaning and disappointing!
oh and I had a small delay at check in because the previous guest had taken a towel prior to my arrival. Once the room was cleared for me to check in, I was given two free full breakfast vouchers which is nice since I didn't ask - front desk was very courteous. The breakfast selection while vast was not worth the $15 or so dollars I would have had to pay without the voucher even with a chef creating omelets. The food was room temperature. overall, it was adequate for my purpose which was just to have a place to sleep before heading back home after the event. I've traveled the country and overseas and stayed at many hotels and the rooms were great, ambiance and hotels and elevators, great, front desk check in- great.. Food mediocre and night mgr, unprofessional and discourteous. [Less]
