Great hotel for Westerners
By BrianVP
This hotel was very accommodating for myself and my girlfriend, was very pleased with the hotel staff. Beds were the most comfortable in all the hotels I stayed in during my visit to China, plus the [More] hotel amenities were very nice, shower, tub, TV hookups, Room Service, and room space. The only issue I saw was that the Japanese Restaurant was not so good with the food presentation nor Sushi rolls. The chef makes the Sushi way to big and you can't eat in one bite making the sushi fall apart, plus the sushi was not rolled tight enough. The staff was OK but could use some more effective training on how to service westerners, (meaning not to bring all food out at once and space it out so we can enjoy) The location of the hotel was good for me because my girlfriend worked nearby but if you wish to see the Bund and the buildings its a bit of a Hike, so I would strongly recommend leaving and returning not during RUSH HOUR.
