Nice location

This hotel was a wonderful experiance. When we arrived we were welcomed with cookies, snacks, bottled water, and even a complimentary cocktail. The staff was friendly and nice. Even though we were there for a rowdy concert the noise level was never excessive. My biggest, and only real complaint is that there was not any self parking and there was no notice that valet was an additional charge until I was checking in to the hotel. Everything else during my stay was wonderful. It would have been nice to have had the food service open a bit later than 11pm. We were in town with a lot of other guests for a concert and by the time we returned the food was no longer being served. The pillows, there were about 6 on each bed, were far to hard for my comfort and the air was blowing all night which was a bit cold. It is possible I didn't know how to control the termastat and I did not ask. For the price I was and am very satisfied and would return. This is a safe location with wonderful service and ammenities.

Small Room, Hidden Fees

I did not enjoy my stay. The room was very small. I felt closter phobic. I've stayed in historical hotels before, but this was very small.

Excellent Staff and Service

By

March 02, 2015

My husband and I were greeted at the front desk by Nicole, she was extremely helpful and friendly. She also remembered our faces and recognized us each time we approached the desk with a question. The service in the bar was excellent as well. Jeff and Jen, the bartenders/servers, were swamped with the concert crowd, but they were very professional and friendly, even when some of their patrons were not. We were also given personal attention by James, the restaurant manager, and Zenita, the banquet manager. They have done a fabulous job with the restaurants in the hotel. The Top of the Pontch, is a must see in downtown Detroit. The Crowne Plaza has a great staff in Detroit.
