Rebecca at the front desk is a super star!

I was unaware that the hotel was going through renovations at the time of my booking.

Upon my check-in, I was greeted by Rebecca, front desk associate who was very pleasant! I asked for a room away from the elevators and she provided me with just that, I do not think I could have been any further away! Any question or problem I had, Rebecca had a very caring response and was very quick to rectify my situation by any means necessary, luckily none required a room change as the staffs quick response fixed everything.

All of the staff I encountered were very pleasant & friendly, but it was Rebecca who really stood out, she even bailed me out with a late night food recommendation when I needed it, I ended up at The Green Turtle and truly enjoyed it. I cannot wait to see the renovations upon my next return!

Hotel was great, but go out to eat.

The hotel was excellent, from check-in to farewell. However, each of the two encounters we had with food service (an appetizer in the bar on the Saturday evening, and breakfast in the restaurant on Sunday morning) were the WORST. The seafood nachos were a good idea, but took too long (25 minutes) to arrive and were poorly executed; a huge pile of stale broken chips at the base of it, the avocados, tomatoes & onions advertised to be on it were missing and the popcorn shrimp were OVER cooked. Then, for breakfast I was planning on eggs benedict but the comp breakfast cards we were given (due to an over-booking error) were not applicable for menu items so I got the buffet, but only because the waitress told me the egg station could make eggs benedict. So, I get to the egg station and ask him for eggs benedict and he say, "What's that?" Turns out two employees have no idea what they are, and it is REALLY sad because it's on their menu. I laughed it off, and asked the young man for two over easy eggs...they turned out raw. The waitress took them back and had him make them aga in #I asked for over medium this time#, but they came back the second time even worst than the first. Att his, they ask if I want a different person to cook them...nope, I'll just have some French toast. I go up and the pan is empty and it stays empty for another 12 minutes. I have now decided that breakfast is over. Here's the final straw: while I finish my coffee I see the buffet server drop the plastic lid of the bacon/sausage chaffing dish on the floor. Of course she takes it away because it is dirty, but she only makes it to the knee wall of the restaurant when she turns around, walks back, and puts the dirty lid back over the food. NICE.
Bottom Line: wonderful rooms & customer service, just avoid the food.

Comfortable bed

The bed was comfortable...Staff was pleasant...the air conditioning in my room was really loud so I just cut it off completely,,,we had a rain storm one day and rain came in one widow and the carpet was soaking wet when I returned to my room...it was too late to change rooms for me but they changed my room the next day.
