The young man on reception (Andreas I think) was excellent - gave advice and recommendations and arranged taxi etc. The young lady was also very good and arranged transport at short notice to rescue me from the airport!
I had a problem with my Company Amex card - they were very understanding and helped me through this difficulty

I would like to mention that it was one of the best Holiday inn Hotel I even stayed! Very good recognition of IHG Rewards. Reception staff are amazing, very professional and polite. A lot of smile!!!

Stayed here for 1 night for our wedding anniversary. We were in Samara visiting friends but decided to treat ourselves to a stay in this hotel for 1 night.
We arrived at 2.15pm and our room wasn't ready and had to wait 20 mins. The woman at reception kindly agreed to a late checkout at 2pm the following day.
Only 1 pair of slippers and dressing gown in the room. I called room service and was told to pay 800 roubles for a second dressing gown and slippers despite the room being booked for two people.
Before booking our stay, I called ahead to check about the spa and fitness centre and the cost. A man called Dimar told me that everything was included in the price; access to the spa centre, towels, slippers, dressing gowns. Only the massage service was an additional extra and I would have to pay for this. We arrive at the spa and the massage centre is closed - I later find out that it's been closed since January 2014 (it's now October 2014). The massage service is still being advertised as an additional extra on the website and by the staff in the hotel. Very unpleasant surprise.
We were then given dressing gowns and towels for the swimming pool and sauna but were told to pay an extra 50 roubles per pair of slippers despite being told otherwise when making the booking.
Breakfast was ordered to our room. We filled out a slip stating what we wanted. Staff delivered the breakfast and for some reason decided to add sausages. We are vegetarian so this was not appreciated.
In the morning a cleaner tried to come into our room at 12:10- luckily we had the latch on the door. She left and then reception called asking when we will check-out. We told them we have a late check out at 2pm. They were confused despite them agreeing upon this when we checked in the day before.
The room was a little dusty in places (windowsill). And the large room lamp didn't work meaning it was dim in the evening.
The accumulation problems tarnished our stay. We just wanted to relax and have a hassle free stay. The advertised extra service of massages not being being true was especially disappointing because it was one of the main reasons I booked the hotel. I had hoped to treat my wife to a massage but an outdated website and ill informed staff mislead me.
These complaints were made to reception upon check out. I hope the hotel can sort these problems out. They are very simple to rectify.
