A nice property but staff quality not geared for a foreign guest

The language barrier in the Crowne Pla´za Dandong was insurmountable. The staffers repeat pre-rehearsed sentences such as "What can I do for you?", but are not able to continue the conversation or understand what the guest asks. There was one lady atthe fron désk able to communicate in English, the restof the crowd not.

The IHG websites should perhaps give some indication that a hotel is linguistically challenged and concentrates on national guests rather than guests from overseas.

CP websites appear to be centrally managed and do not reflect the reality on the circumstances at the location.
