Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A good value and nice stay Our stay met our expectations of a Holiday Inn - great service, friendly and helpful staff, and high standards of cleanliness. The room was surprisingly large and comfortable - the chair had an ottoman, and there was plenty of room for two people to move freely. We were glad the window could be opened and there were light-blocking drapes as well as sheers. The surrounding area didn't have much to offer, so not a pedestrian-friendly location. October 27, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Sub Par for Holiday Inn I stayed here because the Holiday Inn in Portland was booked up. The Hotel was a bit dated and not quite up to the standards I have come to expect with Holiday Inn. This is a big hotel and signs around the hotel say "Shilo Inn" I was greeted by a busy front desk and immediately surprised when upon view of my military ID, was told they don't offer a military rate, only a government rate. The room was OK, but noticed that overall below standards I see at other Holiday Inn locations. Shampoo, Conditioner, soap and lotion only... Other locations usually have a bit more... The restaurant was quite scary and in need of updating. Not dirty, but dated and reminded me of place that rhymes with Lenny's. Breakfast was served there. The boxed cereal was great. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great service Totally ok hotel. Nothing special, but no complaints either. The air conditioning was a bit loud, but it was a constant noise, so it didn't bother me at all. Convenient location with a drug store near by for any needed purchases. The only complaint was that the 'pillow is too soft". However, I did not follow up with the front desk about it. I only stayed two night, so i manage to sleep with multiple pillows. October 12, 2014
