Over the centuries Lebanon has been invaded and colonised by several civilisations. As a result, the country has a diverse population and is littered with countless sites of archaeological interest.
A MAJESTIC BEIRUT HOTEL ON THE FAMED CORNICHE
For years this boutique luxury Beirut hotel has welcomed royalty, celebrities and dignitaries. Spectacularly set on the Corniche, a wide promenade that stretches the length of the city and overlooks the Mediterranean Sea, the hotel is an easy taxi ride to Beirut’s city centre, upscale shops and favoured Lebanese coffee shops. Take in the stunning sea views from the outdoor pool or enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner and 24-hour bar service on the rooftop at Sydney’s.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Qassem This isone of the best hotel in Lebanon. The only missing is : GYM But, your alternative to take your guests to another 5 star hotel for the GYM and Spa is highly appreciated. with best wishes, 11 November 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Hazem Invisible management, indifferent staff.. With the exception of Ms Jacqueline at the "Sydney's", I was shocked by the inability/incompetence of staff to match the renowned status of Le Vendome.. My check-in as Royal Ambassador was a disaster, in fact the worst ever, so was my pledge for a drink at the lobby area having to interrupt a LOUD conversation between staff to make an order. No duty manager available in the afternoon to speak to. In one of the two hotel outlets for dining it is not possible to charge to the room. In short comfortable beds, nice rooftop restaurant/bar, but I am afraid it stops there! Staff (receptionists in particular) in urgent need for training on how to render personal service and to lower voices while engaging in endless conversations in the presence of guests at the lobby area. 30 October 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by tiredtraveller001 Excellent service One of the best hotels for service. This hotel has high staff retention and the staff are knowlegeable, friendly and very helpful. The rooms can do with an upgrade, but considering the instability in Lebanon, one can understand the reluctance of the hotel management to do so. 19 July 2013
